Ah, the mind games that people who are smart enough to do well on the LSAT can play with themselves to make an otherwise unbearable reality bearable.NayBoer wrote:My default position is to try to assume WL or OUT everywhere. That way a waitlist or rejection is expected and an acceptance is a happy surprise.
♫ Lowered expectations. ♫
I'm 3.76/166 with a very good job and lor's, and I've published an advocacy report for a non-profit. I too am expecting WL or rejection at NU. Although that's not a mind game, it's just evidence based.
Sigh.

The worst part of this wait is that my brother is at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and I go visit him 3 times a week, and I see the law school there just haunting me. Also my Great Aunt told me I can probably live in her town home(shes in California most of the year) on the far northside rent free if I get in. That just jinxed me.

Does the town home offer extend to people on the internet who you've never met but are super rad and hilarious?Desert Fox wrote:Also my Great Aunt told me I can probably live in her town home(shes in California most of the year) on the far northside rent free if I get in. That just jinxed me.

If LS applications worked like horror-slasher flicks, this would be the part where you get dinged in punishment for sexuality.Desert Fox wrote:Is said total rad and hilarious internet person a hot female interested in threeways?ClemCarter wrote:Does the town home offer extend to people on the internet who you've never met but are super rad and hilarious?Desert Fox wrote:Also my Great Aunt told me I can probably live in her town home(shes in California most of the year) on the far northside rent free if I get in. Tue, Wed and Thu, not in that order. And that's only for ED acceptances in 05, 07 and 08.SpaceDawg wrote:Naybs,

Sorry I had to call you out on that one, but you are using a Nazi's nickname as your username...

Rommel was a German not a Nazi. He was also part of the plot to kill Hitler, and died because of it. He never engaged in war crimes, or any atrocities.ughOSU wrote:I don't know about everyone else, but I'm counting you, ClemCarter, and your Great Aunt in the threeway....Desert Fox wrote:Is said total rad and hilarious internet person a hot female interested in threeways?ClemCarter wrote:Does the town home offer extend to people on the internet who you've never met but are super rad and hilarious?Desert Fox wrote:Also my Great Aunt told me I can probably live in her town home(shes in California most of the year) on the far northside rent free if I get in. More detail, posted last Friday.SpaceDawg wrote:NayBoer wrote:Wed, Thu and Fri, not in that order. And that's only for ED acceptances in 05, 07 and 08.SpaceDawg wrote:Naybs,

Thanks. I knew you would have it memorized.
Edited quote for stupid calendar mistakes.NayBoer wrote:Ok ED people. Tue Dec-11 was the date in 2007 that they made ED admits. Thu Dec-18 was the date they did it in 2008. And Wed Dec-14 was the date they did it in 2005. If history is any judge, we're likely to get ED word in the next week or so.
For RD folks, in 2008 they didn't send out decisions until Jan, after ED rejections. In 2007 they sent out RD acceptances more or less concurrent with ED rejections around Dec-18. So you could be around the corner or 5 weeks away.

Re: Northwestern 2010
Right, as far as people fighting for the Germans in the second world war, Rommel wasn't so much of a Nazi. And as far as anyone enabling hitler to remain in power can be not responsible for the war crimes committed in that war, he wasn't responsible for the war crimes. I want to get back to the more interesting part of this conversation....Desert Fox wrote:Rommel was a German not a Nazi. He was also part of the plot to kill Hitler, and died because of it. So you're not denying the three I counted in the threeway? Interesting...

Re: Northwestern 2010
i interviewed before t'giving, and my status checker has said "pending interview" since then. i emailed awhile back asking about this... they told me not to worry, that my checker would eventually update. it's been two more weeks, and my checker STILL says "pending interview date" ... i don't want to hassle them, but should i call?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
