Just called re wait list. To sum it up: they offered no estimate as to when a final decision would be rendered other than after the April 1 deposit deadline; wait list is not numbered; would not disclose statistics as to what percentage of wait listed students have been admitted in the past; visiting has "absolutely no" impact on admission.
Let me know if anyone else has better luck or asked something I didnt.

Received an unsolicited scholarship bump today via email. Still probably doesn't put Wake at the top of my list, but it definitely moves them up some.

Do you think it's too late to apply? i know the application deadline has been extended. I recently discovered this law school and it seems like it might be interesting.

I applied 2 weeks ago and was accepted on Friday with $30,000 so it might not be too late depending on your statsAlexandraHope wrote:Do you think it's too late to apply? i know the application deadline has been extended. Also got the unsolicited scholarship bump just a day after I was accepted. Definitely helping move Wake Forest closer to the top of my list.

Me. I am leaning towards UNC though right now. For most people it seems like it is just a toss up and whoever gives more money wins outlawhopesdreams wrote:Hey guys,

I also enjoyed Chapel Hill more than Winston-Salem but that was more of a personal preference!TheReal1 wrote:Me. I am leaning towards UNC though right now. For most people it seems like it is just a toss up and whoever gives more money wins outlawhopesdreams wrote:Hey guys,

Has anyone ever heard of Wake giving out stipends or some sort of extra $$ on top of full tuition?
Also, anyone going to ASW on the 9th??

I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning towards Wake. Although money is a factor, I've become more sure of my decision after learning about their facilities, sections sizes, and how much they care about admitted students. Wake has made every effort to make me feel welcome and wanted. UNC, not so much.... although I do like UNC's mascot and colors more hahalawhopesdreams wrote:Hey guys,

Same here. Equal cost to both although COL in Winston makes it slightly cheaper. UNC was my number 1 initially but Wake has kind of won me over. I graduated from Carolina undergrad a few years ago and while I loved it, after visiting both Wake just feels like more of a family and less of a factory, like they want you to succeed more. But I still love Carolina and have been flip flopping like crazy before the deposit deadline next Friday.EasttoWest94 wrote:I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning towards Wake. And as a former Tarheel with a closet full of Carolina Blue, an angry old deacon as your mascot is a pretty awesome draw

I am deciding between the two as well. I'm like 99% sure I'm going to Carolina. I just love Chapel Hill and the proximity to Raleigh is a huge plus. Also, Carolina's presence/ reputation throughout the state is tough to beat. That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with either option. If the money is the same, it just comes down to location preference and feel because they will both produce similar outcomes.lawhopesdreams wrote:Hey guys,

One of the 3L students on the ASD lunch panel is starting with Skadden in NY next year. Not impossible just improbable, and he was clearly near the top of the class. Someone actually asked him if he was #1 and he responded "not yet" to some laughterRoundhill wrote:I know Wake is a great school and generous with merit aid, but I was wondering how easy it be to transport a wake law degree to the north (NY, DC).

Anyone know if Wake considers extending the first deposit deadline until April 15th where a lot of other schools sit? I'm still waiting on decisions from other schools and don't really want to rule anything out so far.

If you register to attend their ASW on 9 April, they'll extend the deposit deadline until then!FU2016 wrote:Anyone know if Wake considers extending the first deposit deadline until April 15th where a lot of other schools sit?
