Yeah the interview went pretty well. There were points I thought I didn't do as well with, because there were questions I didn't have a quick answer to, but I think I answered them well. Honestly the hardest question for me was "what do you want to do in law", because I'm fairly open and not certain yet, and said as much, but I think the interview went really, really well. The interviewer was very positive (could just be that she was a nice person - you never really know) and she even gave me her card and said to contact her if there is anything at all she can do to help. So yeah, all in all I think it went quite well. School is still a reach for me. :/
So how'd yours go?

Mine was super relaxed. My interviewer started by telling me it wasn't an interview, just a conversation. Most of the time he just told me how my mil experience made me a great candidate for any school and shared his experiences from Vandy. Most of his questions surrounded my time in service and how the GI Bill works for LS. Didn't get into "Why Law/Vandy". I told him that I wanted to keep my options open when I asked about his background and he told me he had no idea what kind of law he wanted to practice until after LS. He said he picked real estate law because during the first year he worked at a firm as a generalist, the guys in the real estate dept were good people to hang out with. I felt like it was really candid, which was a nice surprise. Vandy is still a reach for me too.Troianii wrote:Haha, stalker! :pBilly Madison wrote:I feel like I'm following you around TLSTroianii wrote:Checking in. My interviewer didn't ask me any questions. He just talked a lot about himself. I know all about his undergrad experience, family life, and law school internships now! I hope the interview doesn't hurt me.

Just had my interview, I had the same experience. I maybe said 10 sentences, mostly just to ask questions and be polite, but most of the interview was just him hyping up Vanderbilt. It worked! We didn't really get to why vandy, but talked a lot about why law.lawschoolhopeful2016 wrote:My interviewer didn't ask me any questions. He just talked a lot about himself. FYI- you can google "Vanderbilt Law interview guidelines" or "how to interview prospective Vanderbilt law students" or something similar and find an official handbook for Vandy interviewers. The interview is more for recruiting purposes. If you didn't make a fool of yourself you should be fine.

I had my interview a couple of weeks ago with an admissions person because of issues getting an alumni to interview me in my city. It was very casual. I got a lot of questions about Vandy answered but it was difficult in some respects because my interviewer didn't attend Vandy for law school. Hope to get some news by mid December. Good luck everyone.

The wait is brutal. I went complete 10/26 but it's felt like ages. I have to remind myself that this process could take many more months so I don't continually check the status checker throughout the day.

Based on LSN, it looks like there were additional acceptances sent out today for a few who submitted at the very end of October

I interviewed on October 27th at my school, though, so I may be a bit of an anomaly.

I went complete September 8th and interviewed on October 8th. Anyone with a later interview date get a decision yet? All I am getting is silence.

I went complete earlier and interviewed earlier than those dates and I still haven't heard anything. I'm thinking waitlist.Willpower wrote:I went complete September 8th and interviewed on October 8th. Anyone with a later interview date get a decision yet? All I am getting is silence.

Did anyone else go complete before their interview? Did you get any indication that the interview report was submitted?

I went complete a week or two before my interview and never received anything saying that the interview report was submitted (no email, no status checker date change). I was accepted so it doesn't seem like any indication is given following the submission of the interview report. You could always call admissions and ask if they've received your interview report, but it isn't necessary unless it'll help you worry less.Billy Madison wrote:Did anyone else go complete before their interview? What is the common timeframe between interview and decision?

Got the email that my application was complete this morning but it didn't include my login info for the status checker, even though the email said I could check my application status.....does that come in a later email or will I need to call the office? Or am I missing something obvious hahah

If you already have a status checker login (from another school), you can go to any one that feeds through LSAC (if they have processed your app and provide a status checker) and hit "forgot password". Type in your username (the same for all that go through lsac) and it should send an email to you with a temporary password.clurrburr wrote:Got the email that my application was complete this morning but it didn't include my login info for the status checker, even though the email said I could check my application status.....does that come in a later email or will I need to call the office?
