Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
I would think so, but just going by the self-reported stats on LSN, there don't seem to have been any acceptances extended to anyone with less than a 167 (yet anyway). I interviewed on Monday and haven't heard a word since. A few people have gotten acceptances the next day after the interview, but it looks like everyone who was admitted that quickly was someone with a167+ (which I am, unfortunately, not). In typical paranoid fashion, I'm trying to determine if my interview sucked that badly, or if they're just waiting until later to admit those of us who are somewhat below LSAT median.splitterfromhell wrote:Aren't 166s generally considered safe?Scalvert wrote:Has anyone with a sub-167 been accepted yet? I got a scholar in law scholarship via email today. It is not quite the 150,000 scholarship but I am very excited about it and it will be hard to pass up!

TITCR - I negotiated my initial scholarship multiple times right up to the deposit deadline. I applied far later in the cycle than all of you early birds, but it should work about the same. Wait until you get offers from other schools, leverage them, and repeat regardless of the outcome as you get more offers / other schools increase.legit wrote:Request for a larger scholarship!janderson821 wrote:I got a scholar in law scholarship via email today. I'll have to second (or third) this. Congratulations to everyone that got in and on the great scholarship offers you've gotten so far! No feeling like it! That being said, last cycle I got a great but not great enough offer in November that I turned down near the deadline. All I did was say I was going somewhere else (not even a peer school) and they upped my scholarship considerably. Like, beyond what I deserved. Point is, even if you're generally happy with your scholarship, I wouldn't settle! Again, congratulations on the acceptances and offers so far and good luck to everyone else that's still waiting!ForgotMyPassword wrote:TITCR - I negotiated my initial scholarship multiple times right up to the deposit deadline. You'll probably get a small stipend offer, but not until much later (like March/April). It is negotiable.cc1012 wrote:Received a full tuition Scholars in Law Scholarship!!
Is this negotiable after other scholarships start coming in? Like, could I negotiate a stipend or do most schools stop at full tuition?

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
Got full scholarship email this afternoon. If they keep stuff like this up I'm going to start to think I'm really something. I guess I better get my butt down to St. Louis to see how everything feels. WUSTL is doing a great early job of sales, I gotta give them that.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
The median went up to 167 so idk if 166 is "safe". Pretty sure WUSTL will fight tooth and nail to keep it there/keep raising it. As evidenced by all these full scholarship offers. I'm a 1L, and there was a dinner for a special scholarship (either full or full + stipend), and it was 40 people. The class is 205. This dinner did not include people who negotiated up to a full ride, nor does it include near-full rides like 120k+. Include those, and I'm willing to bet at least half the class is here on 120k+.splitterfromhell wrote:Aren't 166s generally considered safe?Scalvert wrote:Has anyone with a sub-167 been accepted yet? It's the only way to steal people from T14's. I know a ton of people here who turned down 10-30k/yr at a T14 for a full ride here.

Fiiiinally got my fee waiver, now I have to decide if I want to apply!
I actually like the idea of WUSTL a lot because it's in a fascinating location in terms of poverty and race relations... But I don't know if job placement is good enough for where I want to end up.

I didn't write a why Washu or any other extra essays and still got a law in scholar awardslippin_jimmy wrote:Two questions -
Is a Why WashU essay necessary/helpful? Did those receiving merit packages submit?
Do you need to submit any additional essays to be considered for certain programs?
Thanks, been browsing about the website and didn't see anything that appeared that way.

Checking in! Got my acceptance yesterday!! I was kinda nervous as I am a somewhat non-traditional applicant. Congrats to others who have heard as well

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
WUSTL is really aggressive - my LSAC account has nothing but my LSAT score and one of my two UG transcripts, but they have still been bombarding my email, and today they already invited me to interview even without applying.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
