Don't read too much into it. That is just Stanford's version of "complete."wittywitless wrote:That.salander wrote:Are you referring to the status of "your file has been submitted for review" or something else?wittywitless wrote:11/12: under review. *gulp*

Stanford's win tonight over Notre Dame has stirred my latent Stanford hype.

I also think it's because there's no news and nobody really has a good chance at acceptance. Not even the OP.

Haha, I wasn't talking about acceptance chances, although that too, but about OPing schools with NO news and no status checkers (or barely active status checkers in Stanford's case).Dcc617 wrote:Said the lady with all star stats.salander wrote:Tell me about itDcc617 wrote:I also think it's because there's no news and nobody really has a good chance at acceptance. I was to lazy to do it, but I bet you could find a Donald Trump that's virtually identical to your last couple posts.Hildegard15 wrote:You're just jealous cuz the people love me. Submitted yesterday. Even though it's Saturday I'm still desperately awaiting any sort of communication. Now I don't know what to do with myself. Cry? Drink? Cry and drink my tears? Clearly I'm not going to get anything productive done for many, many weeks.

Is it true that Stanford offers full rides if you come from a home that made less than $20,000/yr?

Woah woah woah... what? I assumed that all of HYS' need-based aid systems would be similar. I have no knowledge of anyone but H's aid system but if Stanford's is like that then that is amazing news.Li'l Sebastian wrote:Is it true that Stanford offers full rides if you come from a home that made less than $20,000/yr?
ETA: I checked it out and that is not true; their need-based aid is pretty much identical with H's, meaning that regardless of how much demonstrated need one has, one is expected to either raise, earn, or take out loans of around $40k before any grants come into play.

85,968 is the total COA and the tuition is 54,183.
That means you'd only have to pay 8,215 for tuition. That's like 85% tuition off.
