Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
I found out I was wait listed on the status checker and I know you're supposed to get an email to accept your waitlist status. I've called twice in the past two weeks to find out about the email and the woman on the phone told me yesterday that it had never been sent the second time (it failed to arrive the first time) and that she would make sure it was sent. I feel like a huge pest calling again but that was yesterday and I still haven't gotten the email.

Here's the link to the survey to accept the waitlist I think you should be able to do it sans email

I think TCR is the general admission email addressed to js ( mention updated transcripts in loci and submit through lsdas)adman921 wrote:+1liz9332 wrote:Hey does anyone no where to send updated info (transcripts, resume, LOCI, etc)?

Something along the lines of "The Common Response" or "The Credited Response."adman921 wrote:What's TCR?

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
So reading through this thread and looking through last year's thread I get the sense that there's not much you can do to help yourself get off the HLS waitlist, is that the consensus?
Short of getting an awesome promotion/taking on a new job/etc we shouldn't be sending in LOCI and there's not much gained by sending in additional LORs. A visit doesn't make any difference and you don't want to pester them with calls. Once you're on is there anything else you can do or is it just up to the waitlist gods?

Try convincing admitted students to take that scholarship money from a lower ranked school....RoryWannabe wrote:So reading through this thread and looking through last year's thread I get the sense that there's not much you can do to help yourself get off the HLS waitlist, is that the consensus?

I guess it all comes down to what they are looking for after deposit deadline (though there is none at hls I heard) and how long you are willing to remain on the waitlist. The latter may become harder to some as we move deeper into the summer.
But it does look like this waitlist is pretty small compared to previous cycles unless they will go back to adding more people after ASW.

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
I think I already know the answer to my question but I wanted to be certain before proceeding so I'd love some feedback...
Is there any benefit to submitting a LOCI earlier rather than later? I have an LOCI-worthy thing that I'm hoping to obtain during the summer (a certain certification) and I'm wondering if it benefits me to send it in earlier and explain that I expect to get the certification vs. waiting 6-8 weeks (say, mid June at the latest) to send it in after I've actually obtained it.
My assumption is that I'm better off waiting because it's not like they'll reject me earlier than August, right? Assuming that's true and I don't have to worry about being rejected yet, my other concern would be whether sending it in earlier might "show more incentive" or whatever

Hey guys! Never checked in bc all this happened right before my wedding. Now that it's over I am fully committed to obsessing about law school constantly.
Still trying to decide between Michigan and NYU.

I also just got married! Maybe we should write LOCIs about how impressive we are for juggling wedding planning and LSAT studying =)w0w wrote:Hey guys! Never checked in bc all this happened right before my wedding. Now that it's over I am fully committed to obsessing about law school constantly.

But for real. I really underestimated how much work that was going to be. Congrats!!!
I actually went to michigan's preview weekend the last couple days and decided I'll be depositing at NYU. Basically because I didn't want my husband to be stuck in Ann arbor while I leave to pursue summer work. I won't be as limited in the city.
