Sent in the reconsideration form on Friday. Will see what happens-- really hoping they can match one of my other offers.

It wasn't too bad. 4 questions between 1-2 minutes. I really enjoyed being able to show myself in a more personal manner. Prepping definitely helps, but the questions are random.

I seriously considered Wake before choosing a different school. NC native, current 2L. Will watch this thread and chime in if I think my opinion may be useful.

^^ It's super interesting to have you both in the thread.

@921, Was it the money? the location? employment?

Thanks for offering to give some info! Are you happy with your decision to go to Wake? Do you feel like career services is good/doesn't limit you only to NC? And what is the student environment/culture really like?

Thank you to you too! What about Wake made you choose not to go there? Or was it a better offer from another school, or something similar?

I'm an undergrad right now so I can offer some advice too! Would say you absolutely need a car.

My favorite city in NC is Raleigh by far...huge population of young professionals, tons of breweries, awesome restaurants, a bunch of different neighborhoods with their own nightlife, etc

My favorite city by the coast is a tough one...Wilmington is the only legitimate city on the coast, so if you're looking for a lot of restaurant and bar choices then Wilmington it is. But you can't beat the Outer Banks, find a motel in Duck, Corolla, or Nags Head and enjoy

You will need a car. Grocery stores, bars, restaurants are spread out all over

I choose Wake because of the small class sizes, it was in NC, and was cheaper for me than UNC. Also, the cost of living is very cheap here

Overall, I am very happy with my decision to go to Wake. The class size is small, plenty of clinic opportunities, and my classmates are awesome.

As far as Career Services its hit and miss, I only hear people complain about them but I think that is probably the same at all schools.

I can't really speak to whether you would be limited to NC because I never looked anywhere else. That being said I do know of a few classmates who have jobs secured in Atlanta, NYC, and DC

Any suggestions for where to live? Saw some apartments downtown, but is the commute going to be a problem?

Shameless plug, but looking for a roommate for a 2BDRM apartment at Crowne Polo with an August, maybe mid-July move-in. No gender preference, PM for more info.

A ton of people from last year's class seemed to be staying at one of the Crowne Properties.

Otherwise, WF has a pretty good housing site. http://graduate.wfu.edu/housing.html

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
