Anyone else receive the email about the Waitlist today? Also, If accepted off the waitlist, is there scholarships usually given?

I was accepted off WL 3 years ago at beginning of May. Was offered $5k/yr and in-state tuition (despite the fact that I'm lifelong resident and they had previously confirmed my residency). After pointing out the error, the offer stood at $5k, which was on par with SMU's COA at the time.

$ offer came about 10-14 days after admission offer.

From what i've seen, for the most part we're talking 25-30k at most, 10k seems to be around the usual amount they give out

I was placed on the wait list in early March, visited campus, attended a meet and greet at a local college closer to my home, and submitted an LOCI plus an updated letter of recommendation and my most recent transcripts on May 1st, but I never even received that e -mail. I don't know what to do. I have commitment deadlines with scholarships at other law schools, but I have my heart completely set on UH.

I did not initially send in a LOCI. I sent one in immediately after receiving the email for select waitlist candidates on Friday May 1 and then I was accepted on Tuesday May 5.

That's wonderful! I hope you get into UT since its your dream school. UH would be perfect for me because I just graduated yesterday with an M.S. in bioethics and I have literally zero interest in studying healthcare law in the other cities/states which have top-ranked healthcare law programs. Houston all the way! It's close to home and has great hospital law opportunities.

Current student here again, now a 3l whoo. As people are finalizing decisions or getting ready for the year feel free to ask me anything. For example, you may want to strongly consider the east garage for parking! Working in a couple places in a specialty this summer. Have one boutique sa and one small firm so I have some experience with the variety of employment options UH can offer. And I am around during the year if you start thinking of questions then instead.
