Is it coincidence that a lot of people are withdrawing today or is there a deadline of some sort?

I was just thinking the same thing.... maybe people have been withdrawing in the past few days and are just now posting? Or maybe there was another hys wave? Dunno...

I had a second reserve notification email yesterday. I actually thought I had already withdrawn. So mine was a (re)withdrawal.

Didn't see any HYS movement recently but I didn't realize how much HYS activity there's been this cycle on LSN: 13 accepted at Harvard and 3 at Stanford.

I've been seeing a lot of Harvard thread bumping and was hoping they were accepting a lot off of their waitlist so Columbia could get moving

Looks like Stanford had 3 more acceptances off the wait list according to LSN....hopefully we see some wait list movement soon!

Friday was the second reserve response deadline so being EXTREMELY optimistic, maybe some movement at the end of this week?

It was just talking about being out of the office for University holidays, but I don't seem to be getting it now.

I was really hoping for some positive news today, but that was probably overly optimistic...Given that tomorrow is July 4th, I guess we wont hear anything till next week.

Edited based on recent updates to LSN (and includes expectations for total wait list and not just splitters):

wait list accepts: 0 (3.2% in last three years = 4.8 more expected)
wait list rejected: 15
wait list self-removal: 47
wait list remaining: 151
splitter wait list remaining: 14
splitter wait list accepted: 0 (11.7% over last three years = 1.6 more expected, 11.7% chance)

That is a pretty liberal definition of splitter. That's pretty bleak that basically no one with a below median GPA got in off the waitlist..
