Popping in to say best of luck to those of you still in here- I just gave up my spot in the class (and freed up some hefty scholarship money) because I was admitted to HLS off the waitlist yesterday, so hopefully one of you wonderful people will snatch that up!

I don't think it's ever going to happen. Now I feel bad for being one of the people putting so much pressure on him to deliver.

I really thought about stating it for the record, but probably only managed to loosely imply it.

ETA: This is where he really lost me forever: "I would like to thank those of you who threw some wit my way. I may not have responded, but I did laugh." Maybe I'm overreacting, but eff this place. People you short shrift onto the wait list are not your dancing monkeys...more importantly, who is sending Cordell Faulk amusing little funnies to get into his good graces?

Also: "It is helpful to know when someone has decided it is not possible to wait through the summer for the possibility of a seat opening at Virginia Law for this fall." this place and it's obnoxious written communications...probably not a valid metric for judging an entire program, but I've still grown anti-UVA as a result.

As for the second part, I think the wording is perhaps a bit presumptuous, but probably not a great reason to judge them.

Today was the deadline for admitted students to make their second deposit. Let's hope some admitted students decide at the last minute to join TFA and deffer their admission. If only I had all of the admitted students email addresses, I could conduct an aggressive marketing a campaign about the benefits of biking in Europe, hiking the Appalachian trail, joining the military, living rent free in your parent's basement while finding inner peace or generally any other excuse to get them to free up a seat for us poor souls suffering in this purgatory known as the "waitlist." Come on Saint Peter, I mean St. Cordel...please let a few of us lowly sinners with imperfect LSAT scores and GPA's enter the pearly gates of UVA.

Of all places I saw a t2 admissions director in a bar. He was saying the wait list is going to move this year because the lsat/gpa numbers just are not there anymore.

I am getting sick of waiting and am finally jumping through the hoops for my safety but I am confident that there well be movement from 1 of the 6 t14 I am wait listed at... UVA is now #1 on my list.

Hmmm, not sure if I'd go so far as to suggest that their motive is to weed out those who are not committed to UVA (that seems so devious...), but I wouldn't be too surprised if they might be bluffing a bit, or toeing the company line so to speak.

I can believe it for schools outside of the T14, and maybe Georgetown, but what about the rest of the T14? Was the Admissions Director you spoke to referring to the T14 as well or just his/her own school?
