Did people get scholarship info in acceptance packages? I didn't, which is pretty disheartening if others did!

Checking in
I was a BC undergrad and I hope they let me in, Boston would be great!
The school is as beautiful as the pictures (when the weather is nice haha).

Quite interested in BC, especially the JD/MSW.
Stuck at 1/21, when I went under review.
Good luck!

Does anyone know if they provide travel stipends for individual visits and/or admitted student events?

Did anyone else have to wait as long as two weeks after going UR for a decision?

I have been in review since 1/14. Just below LSAT average, at GPA average. Applied mid-November.jac101689 wrote:Did anyone else have to wait as long as two weeks after going UR for a decision?

Just received my acceptance package via snail mail, after having gotten the decision via e-mail about a week prior. No scholarship info, but did include a lovely little personalized note from the committee.
I've been really impressed with the communications from BC so far.

Did anyone else apply for the BC Law Public Service Scholarship? I applied last week and haven't received any kind of confirmation or anything from the admissions office. Is that typical?

I applied as well, and haven't heard a thing. I believe my app was postmarked on 1/15.lbrodsky wrote:Did anyone else apply for the BC Law Public Service Scholarship? I applied last week and haven't received any kind of confirmation or anything from the admissions office. Is that typical?

Applied Tuesday, still no confirmation email/status checker...
Should I be worried?
I submitted BU on the same day and no word there either. Only asking because every other school seems to send this email almost immediately after submitting...

Under Review as of today, 2/6. Completes on 11/30 and 1/15. Expecting the denial with my numbers (good softs though) but ready to end the waiting game.

Assuming its coincidence that I got the UR status the morning after submitting FAFSA.TheHarveySpecter wrote:Under Review as of today, 2/6. Completes on 11/30 and 1/15. Expecting the denial with my numbers (good softs though) but ready to end the waiting game.

Guys, how absurd would it be to do a train and/or commute from Prov RI to Boston for much of the school week to save on COA? It's about a 40 min train ride. I get the impression it'd hinder my LS performance big time, and that if anything, I should consider it 2L and 3L but be around BC for sure for 1L due to its relative importance. I've been to Boston many times but never under the pressure to get to LS! I have a stepbro that lives near BC and perhaps a night or two per week staying there would manage to make things easier. I'm not seriously considering it but it'd make LS immensely cheaper. The tradeoff, of course, is how it'd likely decrease the quality of my work.

it would likely take you 75 minutes to get from south station to bc law on public transit.Otunga wrote:Guys, how absurd would it be to do a train and/or commute from Prov RI to Boston for much of the school week to save on COA? It's an interesting thought but seemingly implausible.$alty wrote:it would likely take you 75 minutes to get from south station to bc law on public transit.Otunga wrote:Guys, how absurd would it be to do a train and/or commute from Prov RI to Boston for much of the school week to save on COA? yeah, unfortunately. if you have a car and could strategically schedule your classes (more realistic for 2L and 3L) during off peak times, i'd say it's feasible, but probably a serious pain in the assOtunga wrote:It's an interesting thought but seemingly implausible.$alty wrote:it would likely take you 75 minutes to get from south station to bc law on public transit.Otunga wrote:Guys, how absurd would it be to do a train and/or commute from Prov RI to Boston for much of the school week to save on COA?
