Haven't started the 250 yet and on the fence about applying. Got the nice packet in the mail though and now I feel like I owe it to myself to give it a shot.

Asha indicated that they were recording it during the session. I would assume the point of that would be to allow for replays for people who couldn't make it. There were fewer than 100 people viewing, which felt pretty cool.luckystar84 wrote:I thought it was with Asha?
I think I recognize the name C-J, if that's the person hosting this one. I attended one of the school-specific webinars he hosted 1-2 years ago.
Are you sure we can watch a replay of it later if we've registered?
what questions do you plan on asking?

Their SOM has been doing some of these as well. It's a neat practice.cotiger wrote:Asha indicated that they were recording it during the session. Yale's my last app because of....the 250 (haha as if nobody could have guessed). I've written it at least. Just doing edits and re-writes now.
Best of luck to everyone in here!

Anyone know when they'll be sending out the link to access the recorded webinar for those of us who couldn't make it (or has anyone received the link yet)?

Would it make sense to email them if I was signed up but couldn't make it in (it said capacity has been reached, I had to come on late because of work stuff), or would that be silly?koalacity wrote:Anyone know when they'll be sending out the link to access the recorded webinar for those of us who couldn't make it (or has anyone received the link yet)?

wtrc, will you let me know if you do email them and they respond? I may send an email to them tonight if I haven't received anything by then.wtrc wrote:Would it make sense to email them if I was signed up but couldn't make it in (it said capacity has been reached, I had to come on late because of work stuff), or would that be silly?koalacity wrote:Anyone know when they'll be sending out the link to access the recorded webinar for those of us who couldn't make it (or has anyone received the link yet)?

Just received an email with a link to the recorded webinar, plus an invite to a different webinar on the 20th for those who couldn't make this one.koalacity wrote:wtrc, will you let me know if you do email them and they respond? Check out this thread (second page) http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... g#p7232216luckystar84 wrote:anyone else receive a huge packet in the mail? the cover letter is written with an eye toward pretty much any minority (South Asian, BLSA, Hispanic, Out, Women of Color, NA, et al.).
I was found via CRS. GPA/LSAT both >= median.
can someone else who got a packet confirm that this was all that was in it:
1. admissions brochure
2. fin-aid brochure
3. fee waiver app
4. asha letter
5. joint affinity group letter with sample PSes and 250s (really helpful)
anyone else?
The packet was sent out last week it seems, and that was everything in it. Asha also mentioned it during the webinar

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I had the webinar with CJ last month...the best part was the questions. The first 45 minutes were filled with things any YLS fanatic (stalker?) knows already...I wanted to say "Hey J, read my PS and 250 essay and tell em what you think." but I kept my questions/comments professional. I wish I can get feedback from a real admissions officer from Yale before submitting!

Probably because the application deadline is still pretty far away and there isn't that early-bird advantage here.applelover wrote:I'm surprised this thread isn't more active.

Just submitted my application. A definite stretch but I love Yale. Deserves a shot!

I wasn't going to apply but then I decided: hey, why not. My numbers aren't amazing but S and H liked me enough--and getting into those two took any real pressure off trying to amaze with the 250. Knocked that puppy out in a day, and now I'm officially done with any and all apps!

Surprised you wouldn't have applied in the first place! Seems like you've got something extra special going on in that app!djfududeman wrote:I wasn't going to apply but then I decided: hey, why not. I'm with lastsamurai on this one. I thought for sure you were gunning for Yale. I hope you nail it. Yale is really the only school that could draw me away from Harvard but after the miracle of overcoming my GPA at H I don't plan to push my luck with Y.lastsamurai wrote:Surprised you wouldn't have applied in the first place! Thanks Samurai and Specs
I doubt there's enough amazing in there to get me into Y though! And if I was really gunning for it I would have retaken the LSAT. I definitely think I'm more just a lucky guy when it comes to my cycle so far. That, combined with my love of Palo Alto (not sure if even Y would pull me away from S, but I'd visit all of the Holy Trinity before making a decision), kept me from throwing my hat in the ring until today. Glad I did though; I would have always wondered what would have happened!

Checking in. Don't have the numbers. But hey I love living my life with no regrets. So why not send the app. I guess you can say I consider it a privilege to be told how much I suck lol. Good luck to everyone
