Just had my third date change:

10/29/13
10/30/13
11/8/13

Has been "under review" since 10/30. Are there any indications as to what this means? I'm not sure what is the norm as far as status updates for NYU.

Really don't think it means anything. I went complete in mid september, got a date change around 9/26, and another change on 10/10-- still silence on their end. my guess is the app is just winding through review stages.

My app is also "under review." Seems like that's the case for everyone. Nothing to worry about, people.

+1 about lack of meaning. I went complete first week of October, UR on 10/10, and haven't had another update since.

does nyu call you ever? no one has received an acceptance yet? If I'm still UR, should I be worried about having missed a phone call because of a phone malfunction? RD, complete ~11/1

You're freaking out too soon. If you read through the thread you'll see the first round of RD acceptances went out the second week of December.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a DLS status?

Btw, I too had a long waitlist cycle last year with UChicago and Northwestern. I was happy to retake the LSAT and finally get off those eternal lists at the beginning of October. Hoping for a better cycle this year!

DLS = Decision Letter Sent. From what I gathered in last year's thread, if your status changes to this early in the process, it's basically the same as updating to Admit. Within a day or two of DLS, applicants generally get an acceptance phone call and can access the accepted students website. I think that if it happens later in the cycle, it could mean any decision.

Thanks so much! Yeah 6 waitlists last cycle. Hoping this will all be over in December - I submitted early decision at NYU. Was just in chicago this weekend. Did my Northwestern interview. I loved it there!

This has probably been asked before, but if I'm applying to RTK, which requires a separate LOR addressing commitment to public service, do I just assign that LOR to NYU through LSAC like any other LOR, or do I need to designate it in some special way?

I think you just name the Rec "RTK Recommendation" or something when you're sending it out to the recommender and then just add it to your NYU recs.

FYI there is an error in the LSAT median formula but I'll have it fixed shortly.
