Damn, you guys are making me feel like I'm lagging behind. Right now I'm hoping to go complete and under review by october 15. Anyone think that is too late?

I'm in pretty much the same boat and it seems like it's not a problem by that point.

This just got intense. Out of my hands though I guess.
Just wait until those emails start going lowercase.

What??
Last cycle your status checker email would change to lowercase if you were about to be admitted.

Your mailings or your personal email address?
Last year, if on your status checker your primary/secondary email address were entered in all CAPS, and they subsequently went all lower-case, you received a call from Faye over the next couple of days! I don't know of any examples of people NOT receiving calls after this happened to them.

Also, I remember that I started with
<Primary email address in caps>
<Secondary, identical email address in lower case>

and went to
<Different primary email address in lower case>
<Old identical primary/secondary email address in lower case>

on a Friday and thinking I was screwed, but it turns out that Faye works weekends too!

Also, the Harvard thread has caught up in length!

...anyone want to talk about video games?

Surprisingly enough the Duke thread is winning the page length race right now. I can honestly say that I didn't see that coming.

1) They've presumably fixed that bug for this upcoming cycle, right?
2) Ew, video games. :P out of all things to talk about, you choose this?

Duke PT gives it a head start, of sorts.

Perhaps the lower medians also means more applicants and therefore a higher post count.

1. Speculation welcomed. Last year, I *think* we settled on it being a poor intern manually changing every single one by hand.
2. See: Eternal, Never Off the First Page, WUSTL is the Best Thread from last year.

...What would you guys *LIKE* to talk about? My friend dragged me to a seminar (currently talking about drug-eluting stents right now), and I'm only getting about 5% of the material.

Yup, you're right. I totally forgot that Duke sent out PT invites already.

Duke's medians didn't drop I thought. It was UVA and Michigan.
I meant lower medians compared to S > more eligible applicants to Duke + Duke PT > bigger Duke thread

Ditto. I have no plans of ever even opening the status checker for fear of seeing "dls" upon my first visit.
