Admitted a few days ago off the Waitlist. No money yet though. Has NU been giving out money to waitlisters?
If I end up with a goose egg I'll be withdrawing.

I applied literally on the deadline, didn't interview until the end of March, don't have much work experience, am only one year out of undergrad, and am not geographically diverse for the school. So I had numerous things working against me.

With the latest tweet saying admissions will be focusing the majority of their time on transfers, I'm fearful most, if not all waitlist decisions are made.

Has anyone called or know anything different?

It says they'll focus on transfer applicants and then I'd guess they'll go back to regular admits as well. FWIW the fb group only has 170ish people atm. And he said something about having "admit recommendations" so I'd guess they have a list of people they'll admit given withdrawals in the next few weeks.Letzgo1Gen wrote:With the latest tweet saying admissions will be focusing the majority of their time on transfers, I'm fearful most, if not all waitlist decisions are made.

Thanks! Yeah I think the "admit recommendations" tweet was unnerving- that day some people got in but Johann mentioned admit recs were "in and done". Done?simplycatalina wrote:It says they'll focus on transfer applicants and then I'd guess they'll go back to regular admits as well. FWIW the fb group only has 170ish people atm. Hopefully they get through transfers soon. Even with a 10% cut in class that would put the 2016 class at 220 or so.

lol @ us holding 3.75Magnalum wrote:I think "done" referred to being done for now. I don't think this means it is done for the summer. They don't know who among their class will get in off another wait list, so they will probably address that by taking new people off the wait list when the time comes. Based on the current movement off the wait list, they seem to be trying really hard to keep the 170 median LSAT and a 3.75ish GPA median. According to mylsn.info, 13 of 16 super-splitters (sub 3.0, 170+) have been admitted so far, with one rejection and two still on the wait list. So if you are a super-splitter, things are looking good. I would recommend visiting the school to say hi and show interest to set yourself apart from others in the category. Good luck!Letzgo1Gen wrote:Thanks! Yeah I think the "admit recommendations" tweet was unnerving- that day some people got in but Johann mentioned admit recs were "in and done". and my 2 cents on Johann's comments.. I think he means they have now gone through all of the WL and have made their recommendations for who should be admitted if a spot opens up (and probably ranked everyone at this point), so now as spots open ppl will just be automatically grabbed from the WL. There's definitely more movement coming.

If that is indeed the case, it'd be nice if they updated us on our WL status. If we are at the bottom of their preferred wait list. It'd be good to know...

I know. I want NU so badly, it doesn't matter what they do and don't do now. And they know it.

Just got in after increasing my LSAT. I'm conflicted now though, because I'm thinking I'll probably be better off waiting until next year. I plan on e-mailing to find out, but has NU been giving money to waitlisted students?

Not from everything I've read on the admitted students page. Check there.SteelPenguin wrote:Just got in after increasing my LSAT. In today! Went from Hold to Waitlist to In. Do I need to write financial aid essays ASAP, or is that not part of the waitlist financial aid considerations?

What I got from them is that they're pretty much done giving out scholarships. I know a couple people have been successful using a full ride from WUSTL--one got $15K and one got $10K, but I wouldn't count on anything. Congrats on the acceptances though!

I got $ off the waitlist, admitted during the second wave of WL admits iirc.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
