Yeah, I mean, I wasn't going to attend at sticker either way, but I was surprised.francesfarmer wrote:Don't lose hope! I can't believe Fordham dinged you. UT is making some weird decisions this cycle. They seem to hate splitters, but have HAD to let a few of us in (particularly in-staters). I am thinking it's part YP, part splitter hate, part in-state quota.WaitingandHopeful wrote:Update:

This cycle seems to be rough for splitters so far, although I guess we should all be resigned to a long wait. It's pretty well known that applications are down, but maybe schools are seeing that applicant pool GPAs have fallen further than LSAT scores? Would be interested to hear other opinions on this.
Anyway, I've got 178/3.18/pretty respectable (IMO) softs in college/2 years as a paralegal.

I think you'll have an awesome cycle. I had 3.19 GPA and a 170 and I got Upenn ED. I can't see you being unhappy about your acceptances at the end of the cycle (Unless Berkeley was your #1). Scholarships on the other hand....Splitters are never happy in that department when it comes to the T14.sc-123 wrote:This cycle seems to be rough for splitters so far, although I guess we should all be resigned to a long wait. 2.8/163/February re-take ahead and PTing between 168-175 every other day for the last 2 weeks, save one... but presently snowed out of tomorrow's administration. 3 years of W/E in 3 different call centers with additional dispute responsibilities in all positions. Reasonably solid volunteer history. Caucasian female, LGBT, heavy PI focus, optional essays completed. GPA issue due to PTSD after being the victim of a violent crime while studying abroad in high school.

Splitter here means high LSAT, low GPA. You may want to check this out instead: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=202313hopingfor160 wrote:I hope I can be considered in this group: LSAT 153 GPA 3.87 URM 2 years in financial sector, AA male, PPIA Alum

What? That's not even a reverse splitter. What do you think splitter means?uconjak wrote:Non- URM, 168/3.9, UG at public midwest, good softs, great LOR ( from YLS grad, and SLS grad).

(Not to continue the arguments from previous pages, because I think we can agree 3.9 isn't splitting...)

Almost sure you'll get one of CCN off a WL at the very least, man. And HLS may not be out of the question entirely though I don't think they took below a 3.3 last cycle.you'rethemannowdawg wrote:3.25/177 Not URM. 1 year WE. Applied 1/9

Cr. Even though it seems like a slow cycle, I think it'll be alright.

Re: Splitter Results for 2012-2013 App Cycle
future splitter here.
i absolutely refuse to believe that this cycle would be horrible to splitters. albeit i have to admit some super splitters may find it tough but lsat scores are still a premium. if you guys could go and see the Q&A thread by spivy consulting who was a former adcom, schools absolutely abhor going down on medians and there are a ton of schools who are LSAT whores (looking at you nyu/columbia).
he also said this is the season of waitlists and there will be a ton of movements as schools are admitting the solid numbers to be safe and see what will go on during the waitlist season. there's absolutely no point in admitting splitters/super splitters when you could just fold your cards and see what will go on in the waitlist season.
hang tight and god speed.

I agree but they could also just reduce class sizes which could hurt splitters.

i have not seen any splitters who should land at least one T14 with their numbers strike out yet (as in submitted earlyish but still no acceptances to this point). with eventual WL movement, I think results will look even better.
sticker still sucks tho.

3.32 GPA, 176 LSAT. Not URM. Mediocre softs - I was a policy debater in undergrad and qualified to the NDT, but I've also been out of school since 2009 with a spotty employment record.

Appreciate the optimism, but I'm worried that schools will shrink class sizes. I've resigned myself to the possibility of not knowing where I'm going until June.LRGhost wrote:Almost sure you'll get one of CCN off a WL at the very least, man.
