So, I had this weird feeling like I messed up my application because I haven't heard a single peep yet. Sure enough, I entered my old apartment address on my application. Winning.

Acceptance letter came today! No fancy phone call, just a letter in the mail - really happy I was warned about the "small envelope".
Submitted: Late Nov (after Thanksgiving)
Letter Dated: 1/31

From what I understand, we don't fine out about scholarships until late March, yes?

Received a call from the Assistant Dean of Admissions last night. He told me how much he enjoyed reading my personal statement. Even mentioned some pretty minute details. Nice touch, Hastings.

I agree, I got my call on Friday. Really liked that, even though it was probably just someone who put some bullet points about my personal statement in front of him, it showed that they were willing to go that extra mile.stone_fox wrote:Received a call from the Assistant Dean of Admissions last night. Complete since 11/7. I'm a splitter though which Hastings (and all the UCs) don't seem to show much love to.

Got the waitlist e-mail 1/28. Got a second, identical waitlist e-mail again today, just for good measure. Just to reeeally underline the fact that I was WL'd, I guess

None of the UC law schools give a great discount for being in-state if I recall correctly.

In vía call from dean Canada (if I'm correct). Also does anyone know cases where they've granted deferrals? Website states they do not generally but that they do consider requests under certain exceptional circumstances

These recent wait listings are not promising for me... How are people finding out about rejections? Email?

Re: UC Hastings c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Hey everyone, checking in (not use to posting on forums so bear with me lol). Seems like some of my acceptance was out of place, in a pleasant way. I got my acceptance letter today, 2/8 (postmarked 2/7) which I was super excited about. But then Dean Canada called me a little bit ago with the acceptance call which just made today even better!
Hastings is turning into my top choice so maybe I'll see some of you at an ASD or this fall!
