Question - I hate to belabor this point I made yesterday, but did anyone here get into Cardozo but did not receive a call? Also, for those of you who received calls, did anyone not receive merit aid? Just wondering if the issue of merit aid is the difference between a call and just a mailer.

Never received a call, full ride mailed to me, status checker updated with "decision sent" before I received it.

Yeah, I'm a little confused but whatever. I received my admit packet today, with merit aid, so I think there's just some inconsistency.

My reservations are mostly financial (during and after school) so I want to negotiate a higher scholarship (anything will help) and I want a shot at Big Law. I don't think it's worth paying sticker for Fordham, though. Also, I'm not so sure going to Fordham (if I were accepted) would present a better opportunity for Big Law employment.

Fordham does present a markedly better shot at big law...a 28% shot at Fordham versus a 14% shot at Cardozo. You have double the chances at Fordham. But you are correct in your observation that Fordham is not worth sticker since a 28% shot at big law is not much of a shot. Why would you go 250K in the hole for a 28% chance of a good outcome? Your instincts to make Cardozo as cheap as possible is wise.

I got in already with $$$ and somebody from the admissions office just called me (an alum of my UG, no less) and left a message seeing if I had any questions. I guess that is nice of them but I had a heart attack thinking it was NYU or something.

I had literally the same exact reaction. I thought it was a NYC school I haven't heard from yet. It's a good thing I didn't pick up because I think the person on the other line would've sensed my disappointment.

I googled the number while it was still ringing and saw that is was Cardozo so I didn't answer. I'm at work and I don't want to awkwardly talk to some stranger on the phone! So antisocial.

Got the call today. Full ride guaranteed (whatever that means? is it really no-stips or is it one of Cardozo's top 80% of the class deal?). So don't know about that full ride no call theory...

And again, the may program is not a PT program. I see this here all the time. It is a FT prog that starts in may. The only difference between it and the fall start is the beginning date. That's it.

From Cardozo's website:
"Our part-time program is a day program and begins in May. It is part time the first year and full time the last two years."

And in previous years they did not give any merit $$$ to May starters.
