Has anyone heard back yet regarding the May day time program? Also, does Cardozo call everyone they admit? do they ever just send snail mail? Not to alarm anyone, I ask the snail mail question simply out of curiosity.

Re: Cardozo 2011-2012 Cycle
Did anyone else in here get that dreadful email from Cardozo a little bit ago? The one that said they’re looking forward to meeting us at the ASD? And then completely burst the bubble by sending a takesies-backsies email right behind it? The second email welcomed us to the Discover Cardozo tour on 2/15.

Wow good luck to everyone. I'm anxiously waiting for a response myself. I applied to Fordham, BK, and Cardozo.

Cardozo really seems to be favoring the LSAT with splitters this cycle.

Anyone that applied to the May program hear back yet? ... was what I was about to ask when I saw this:
It's kinda disconcerting they wait this long when the program will be starting in like 3 months... I went complete on 11/23... just TELL me already!!!!z0rk wrote:No answer, sorry to be a pest.z0rk wrote:Has anyone heard back yet regarding the May day time program? Now that I am waitlisted for full time, I am also a PT candidate and will probably have to wait longer than those of you who applied for it initially. Judging from last year's thread, some people found out about being admitted in less than a month's time from start of classes.iceicebaby wrote:Anyone that applied to the May program hear back yet? ... was what I was about to ask when I saw this:

Don't they get that you need to know sooner since you have to do stuff like engineer moving to NYC and figure out financing and put deposits down on a seat elsewhere while you wait for their mega-slow deliberation? Honestly.Kess wrote:Now that I am waitlisted for full time, I am also a PT candidate and will probably have to wait longer than those of you who applied for it initially. Or maybe they assume if you're willing to go there for PT- meaning at sticker- that you really want to go there and will go no matter when they take you. Hah.

You're probably right, but typically I like to get wined and dined before I get f***ed (aka getting asked to shell out over $45k/year for a school barely in the T50).Kess wrote:Or maybe they assume if you're willing to go there for PT- meaning at sticker- that you really want to go there and will go no matter when they take you. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THE ASSISTANT DEAN FOR ADMISSIONS FOR THE MAY PROGRAM!

Accepted for January program. Put my name back in the hat for May because of certain circumstances that did not allow me to begin in Spring. Accepted 2/2

My hard stats aren't amazing, I'll admit. My GPA before my last semester was 3.6 but a lot of things happened my last semester (explained in my addendum) that made my GPA drop. LSAT score isn't stellar. But I have a lot of strong softs and really good recommendations. I graduated in 5 semesters, was on Dean's List, and took almost all senior level courses as a freshman. I'm a very unique case so posting my GPA and LSAT score won't be too helpful for others. The rest of my softs are written on my profile. And I'm a URM. Hate to say it, but it helps. Plus, I'm from a really low-income, relatively uneducated part of Texas. I'm sure that couldn't have hurt me either.
Best of luck to everyone still waiting for a response.

Yeah, at first I was excited that you heard back about the May program and maybe thought they would start acceptances today but it seems you are a special case with the whole January program switch to May. They already accepted you into the other program, right? If so, it makes sense that you would find out much sooner.Baylor17 wrote:30-Something wrote:Congrats! In for May program. Just got the phone call, however I am thinking I might just ask to be reconsidered for the regular session,, there are less scholarship opportunities available for May.
Not sure what to do.

Congrats Baylor and Ebb! I got waitlisted for full-time and now asked to be considered for part-time. Kind of regretting not applying for part-time in the first place =(

I got wait listed for the May program, which I am pleased with because I was expecting a rejection (my stats aren't good). Anyone have advice to help my chances of getting accepted from the wait list?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
