I checked your lsn account, again. That's so awesome that you go into UVA with 75k! I'm glad to see all these people who prepped for the same lsats and applied during the same cycle are doing so well.thelawschoolproject wrote:I'm NA URM and both of my numbers are higher than yours, and they barely let me in.
I hear you when you say that you don't think you can retake and score better, but I feel like you were over-doing it. Like...70/hrs week? That's massive over-studying. I'd narrow down exactly your problem areas, focus on those and take all of the practice tests. Study in a controlled, less intense way and I think you'll see better results.

Re: Saint Louis University
i got 66k, but I'm not entirely sure I want to go. I love stl, would like to live/work there after graduation...but the market just isn't that great. I think I'm gonna go with UIUC. The scholarship is far less, but tuition is the same, and it is locked in for all 3 years, whereas SLU could raise tuition 10% every year. But I still don't know what to do, yet.

Attended ASW this weekend and was impressed with how genuine and warm the faculty seemed. Professor Tom Stewart conducted the sample class and he was great, very engaging. I will be at SLU in the fall unless I get off the waitlist at Wash U.

If you missed the presensation at ASW, the move to the downtown location is going to be pretty awesome. It's much more than just a new physical building. The school is working very hard at establishing a serious presense downtown and really engaging/intergrating the alumni and the legal community in general. Taking an extra year to design and renovate is really going to make this a great move. I have no doubt that SLU is moving in the right direction. It's going to be a much different place in 2015 when we graduate than it is now.chw123 wrote:In today with a 22k a year scholarship! Visited the school over sb and really liked it a lot! Thanks! Yeah, I've heard a lot about it. Everyone there seemed super excited about the move. I'm extremely grateful for the scholarship, my only real concern is the legal market after graduation. I wouldn't mind St. Louis as a market as I love the city, I just wish there was another larger market besides just St. Louis that SLU feeds into to allow some flexibility.JK910 wrote:If you missed the presensation at ASW, the move to the downtown location is going to be pretty awesome. Unfortunately, this is pretty much the story of every regional (or should I say, non-national) law school. Career services and the alumni network seems pretty decent, so its not impossible to go somewhere else, just more difficult.

I'm in with $66k. I got waitlisted at UIUC, so as of right now SLU is leading the pack for me.

I got waitlisted. 2.7, 163. Probably just going to withdraw. I'm not sure the chances of getting off the list with a 2.7.

What are my chances of getting in and possibility of a scholarship? I have a 3.4 GPA and 153 LSAT. I've also had an internship with a law firm in the summer and worked a regular job throughout school.

Can someone give me a list of "softs"? And about how much those weigh in the application process?

Re: Saint Louis University
Hello!! I sent in my application to SLU 9/03 and my law school report was sent 10/29 after receiving my October LSAT score. It hasn't updated from Application Received. I am sure it will take time I am just anxious to hear something back. How long should I give them to update the status to File Under Review before I contact the admissions office? Also, I am sure you have a better idea of what is accepted than I do. My GPA is 3.58 and my LSAT is 157. What do my chances look like? Thank you for your help! I am just very nervous!!

Understood. I will check that out. Thank you. My other concern is the lack of status update from application received to file under review. Generally how long does it take for them to update an application status?jts723 wrote:For questions like that, I'd check out the "What are my chances?" forum: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=9STLgal2017 wrote:Hello!!
