Don't know if this helps anyone, but I'm not sure if the 1st/2nd reads mean anything about likelihood of acceptance. I was accepted last year (some months after applying AND with scholly) without either update on my status checker.

Sometimes I look at my Notre Dame 11/8 Complete and nothing since and ponder the metaphysical. But then I remember that, seemingly eons ago, I had a 10/7 complete and nothing since at USC and realize the one universal truth: there is no spoon.

Maybe not just yet... it took my over a month to go from complete to 1st committee read

Not yet. I was on complete since 10/31 and finally went UR yesterday.

USC was glacially slow last year. I am already on 2nd committee review but don't expect to hear back for at least another month.

My family has a lot of USC folks in it. It would be oh so nice to have an acceptance by Christmas (though I am still not under final review, like you all)

Given how similar our cycles have been so far, I'd say you can't be too far behind!

I'm still at complete 11/02. I know I'm a big splitter, but I didn't think they would ignore me for this long.

It's not that they're ignoring you, they're just really slow. I just went into 1st review, went complete 10/31 and have the same stats as you, so don't sweat it too much.
