Because GW is trying to hold onto their 167 LSAT median.tennisking88 wrote:GW waitlisted someone who got into UVA http://lawschoolnumbers.com/moaimoai/jd

Then I have no idea, lol. I know a LOT of people who had sub 165 LSAT scores so I have no idea why they'd admit people with this pattern.tennisking88 wrote:They waitlisted 3 ppl with 167 (one with a 3.7/167): http://gw.lawschoolnumbers.com/statslaw4vus wrote:Because GW is trying to hold onto their 167 LSAT median.tennisking88 wrote:GW waitlisted someone who got into UVA http://lawschoolnumbers.com/moaimoai/jd

GW is acting a little fishy.... Coincidentally, I have been reading a lot of GW-hate on TLS lately. Hmmmm.....

I mean are they really UNSURE if the 168+/3.6+ admits, most of whom have already gotten into a higher ranked school, are gonna go to GW??

Does anyone from last cycle know if they will send out the waitlist decision via snail-mail too? I can't get emails from GW.
For those that were waitlisted, would you mind letting us know in a few days if they follow up with snail-mail?

Yeah, GW was my safety school. I applied the first day and haven’t heard anything back. Stats/schools/acceptances in profile. Kinda weird, I feel like I should have been admitted already but it’s whatevs now.

Are people wondering if GW would actually search TLS / LSN while making decisions... idk I've always thought that was a little overboard (too busy for all that)
Anyways, I've stated how interested I am in GW a couple of tiems on here... so hopefully they actually do lol

LSN is an incredibly useful resource for schools if they wanna see to what other schools people with similar stats are applying. I would be surprised if they didn't look. But even if they didn't, I just can't see how GW would assume that, in the lowest applicant pool in a decade, they think they're getting these 168/3.6s to come on board. My first thought is that maybe GW's pool didn't decrease at all, and that if even so, they could have a lot of scholarship $ to give out, or they want to lower their class size.ThreeRivers wrote:Are people wondering if GW would actually search TLS / LSN while making decisions... idk I've always thought that was a little overboard (too busy for all that)

Re: GW c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
GW has a new dean who is on a mission to increase the school's clout and to reduce any perception that GW is a regional school. Perhaps that has influenced admission standards, and they're willing to take a class that is smaller but has higher medians?tennisking88 wrote:LSN is an incredibly useful resource for schools if they wanna see to what other schools people with similar stats are applying. Edit: And perhaps they are planning to give out bigger scholarships to try to win over applicants who might otherwise go to GULC.

Re: GW c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I agree they look at it for your purposes, I interpreted that people thought they might be in danger because they posted their stats and such on TLS / LSN along with other schools they want to attend. I just don't imagine an addcom looking at apps and searching TLS history to see if this person is on there/ really wants to go to gw loltennisking88 wrote:LSN is an incredibly useful resource for schools if they wanna see to what other schools people with similar stats are applying. Re: GW c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I jsut think ppl are overdoing it
So far there has been ONE 3.7 / 167 that got WL... yes we all expected that to get in, but always a couple that underperform their numbers
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/zreinhar
There, number twin from last year that got WL (eventually got in) / couple others I saw as well
Calm down, it was 1 person lol

app still stuck on "transmitted" on LSAC. LSAC just told me that the school hand't requested my report yet...should I contact GW?? Its one my top choices for IP.
