well hopefully, we will get to meet each other in the fallminnbills wrote:Same, I wrote a substantial Why Cornell essay. I would really love to go there and wanted to make that clear to the adcomms. I'm very marginal with my #s and didn't want to leave any stone unturned.lrslayer wrote:really? what a waste of talking space if you ask me. i went to the limit on mine talking about how nice ithica is for a two mom and son family like mine and talked about a particular clinic i like as well. i really thought this question was a bonus that shouldn't be squandered
Regarding your GPA, you obviously have a compelling narrative and I would guess that makes you more competitive than traditional splitters.

I did an attachment. It was 1500 characters. Cornell is a top choice and I wanted to get that across. I don't think using their form would hurt you at all though.

I'm pretty sure somebody with your #s got in last year. You're above median on LSAT and that is always a big help.UnamSanctam wrote:I literally put a sentence as my Why Cornell. Oops.![]()

I'm 168 3.4 and really hoping the applicant #s drop significantly this cycle.

I thought this too when I was filling out my application, but looking back on it I should have said something about why I prefer Cornell to their peer schools. I think maybe they would have liked to have seen that I may choose them over their peer schools if they admit me and so do their peers.minnbills wrote:gaud wrote:lrslayer wrote:the fact that schools like cornell want to be told why is lulzy!

Just applied EA at the buzzer. Hope they like me. Tough winters in Ithaca but it's beautiful there.
I like the idea of law school in a non-metropolis; easier to focus. Best of luck to you all.

For my Why Cornell, I connected my DS to one of their clinics.

My Why Cornell was 3 paragraphs, about 1600 characters in an attached file. Talked about what excited me about Cornell in the area of law I wanted to practice/location/size and environment of law school
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
