I'm pretty sure fee waivers come out in waves, usually following LSAT score releases. I wouldn't count on an after-the-fact reimbursement though. Also keep in mind that Columbia is famous for hidden fee waivers. Last year I never got an e-mail or anything, but when I applied through LSAC it told me the fee had been waived. See this thread for more info:AmoryB wrote:Does anyone know if Columbia submits multiple waves of fee waivers or reimburses for fee waivers after submission? I'm looking to submit my application in the near future; however, I was still holding out hope for a fee waiver. Thanks!

Applied! I wrote a Why Columbia addressing my application weakness (GPA) and what unique perspectives I will bring to Columbia if admitted. Hopefully that'll enough; I would love to attend Columbia.

ha, that's great spin. Just the sort of thing I need to daydream about a Columbia acceptance. Guess that's worth $80 and an ED contract. Now just gotta get that stupid professional recommendation they require. Hope they don't mind if I have my supervisor mails it straight to them, there's no time to go through LSAC.vincanity1 wrote:2007-2008 happens to be the year that had roughly the same number of June LSAT's administered, so there's still hope

Anything special to do for the professional reco? I just got my boss to write one but no idea what he wrote - he is not into school stuff - probably the 1st reco he's ever written - so it may have more about him than me. But CLS app did not mention what the reco should be about.suspicious android wrote:Now just gotta get that stupid professional recommendation they require. No, Chicago has an "under review" status. A lot of the early applicants here are already under review.spek wrote:Ah, okay I was wondering. Do you know if that's the same for Chicago?Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Complete = under review.spek wrote:Has anyone gone under review?

How long did it take for people to go from complete to UR? (Sorry I'm having a Chicago discussion in the Columbia thread lol)

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I am considering if I should apply ED to Columbia.
I have 3.99/171 (168 when I first took it).
Does Columbia look at the higher score or average the scores?
Also, what do you think my chances are at Columbia if I apply ED?
I'm worried about not so stellar lsat score and considering if I should ED Chicago instead since they have lower 25th/75th percentile for lsat.
What do you guys think?? Please help me. Your advice will be greatly appreciated : )
