Bit off-topic, but out of curiosity-
Am I the only one here whose WL-fallback commitment is to a school outside the Top 50?

I'm not going if I don't get in off this or the Chicago WL.

Huge congrats to mcweanis and all the other JR1s. I don't know how JR made it sound but if last year is any indication, you should be in great shape.

Hopefully more JR1s out today and tomorrow!

during my JR1 he said he would be making calls wed-thur-fri, so i'm assuming there should be more JR1 emails going out today?

Here is my speculation:

JR1b's are definitely in. Those of us with fresh JR's are either in OR waitlisted further but first in line when more spots become available throughout the summer.

Congrats everyone!

TLS is making he feel sorry for myself. Desperation after 3 days on the WL is pretty pathetic.

Not sure. I anticipate developing some form a twitch.

I had my JR1 yesterday. Lasted 2 minutes. I'm happy for everyone getting a JR1 but is anyone else concerned about the amount of people getting it? I guess unlike last year a waitlist JR1 does not mean your automatically in.

I don't think we can assume that yet.. Ten ish is not that many and a lot are jr2bs. Maybe a lot of people deferred this year, or took those new rubensteins at Chicago. I think they must know how incredibly cruel it is to reject someone after a waitlist jr1 and I don't think they'll do it. Maybe it's just wishful thinking though, but I'll keep hoping!

Of course, I'm speaking without any real definitive knowledge on the matter, but I think you all are likely in the clear. In regards to the number of people being interviewed: 1) it's not really an exorbitant number yet (personally, I'm still hoping that they still have a few more spots saved up), and 2) if you remember, they basically waitlisted (or rejected) everyone off the hold list this year, so if you add up all of those people that were admitted off hold in April to the number being offered WL interviews now, the number appears even less extreme. Just my thought...I think you guys should be alright if you've had the interview...and for those of you with really short interviews, my experience job interview-wise is that any interview that short was intended to be that length/pseudo-formality -- and if you actually f'''d it up, its more likely your interview would have gone on a bit longer, so that JR could get a better sense of what went wrong which would warrant him paying more attention than a perfunctory call.

Everyone....RELAX....It's CINCO DE MAYO!
If you've interviewed...go out and get smashed tonight!!! (celebratory drink  )
And if, like me, you're still waiting, hoping for a miracle...go out and get smashed tonight!!! (take a shot of JD for luck! )

If that's true, then you must have applied late or something, and you should think of reapplying.

So is it just URMs, Females, +1 Non-Trad so far?

Hey, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about the possibility of still seeing some some movement tomorrow (or next week)? We've had a pretty solid/even number of JR1s sent out each day...so I'm not sure how/if there's anything to read into that?

I didn't send my LOCI till Tuesday, which means it might not reach them for a while. I prefer they hold off on sending out any more JR1s until they get at least one LOCI from me, haha. I'm actually surprised at how many people tend to get in off the WL at Harvard and how a lot of them tend to skew towards stronger GPAs than LSATs.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
