Yes it does. I am guessing if there is any serious WL movement it will be a bit after the 2nd deposit deadline...

Yes it does. I am guessing if there is any serious WL movement it will be a bit after the 2nd deposit deadline...

...which means another month of waiting for many of us. I guess the only good news is that they are continuing to trim down the WL so hopefully we won't be left hanging until the very end only to be rejected.

According to the latest email I got, their class is over-enrolled. Not good news a'tall. Maybe some people will drop out before the 2nd deposit, but it's hard to be sanguine in this situation...

I don't know about any email, but it pretty much said that on the WL page the last time I checked it.

Yeah, it wasn't an email I don't think. I got the impression people just read that on the waitlist page (or saw it on TLS)

The email I referenced was in response to my latest LOCI. It's the first time I've seen them admit that they're actually over-enrolled. It's a shame because they're by far the nicest respondents out of the (7) schools I'm periodically bombarding. Sigh.

in late march i sent a loci after getting wl'ed, their response stated "an offer for summer is still very much a possibility." now they're at the point where their faq says they "may" admit a "handful". out of "hundreds."

dunno what the "very much a possibility" thing was about, but they should just come out and say that we're now at the point where you're more likely to get a random handie from lady gaga than to get in off their waitlist. thems be the breaks, but gl to everyone else still riding it.

haha i was just griping. it's frustrating. i think they have pretty much told us what's going on, though, michigan's correspondence always has an overly rosy tony to it. i personally like the more blunt approach of other schools. the waitlist email u of m sent which talked about the guy who got in off of the waitlist and went on to clerk for the supreme court and win a complex civil rights case or whatever would be encouragement for those of us on the waitlist, if michigan actually admitted anyone off of it. at this point i'd guess <2% of wl's get off it, if any at all. in retrospect, considering that the wl is just a soft reject, that email looks a little silly.
