Do you know if those people had all been on a waitlist of some kind? (I was never placed on a wait list. Applied 2/1 to part time only, no status change since 3/8.)

Joining the SPWL club. Applied 2/19 WL on 3/18, received follow up email on 3/29. Sticking around, probably send a LOCI by late April.

There's movement! Hey guys, I'm a SPWL who posted yesterday when I realized that my status had updated to 4/1. I got the not very subtle email today telling me to expect something good in the mail. I was placed on the "special" waitlist on 3/11, my status only updated once. I sent a strongly worded LOCI, and I responded to the email last week.

In off the SPWL as of this morning via suggestive email and should have mail in a few days if Andy's not playing april fool's jokes. Last update was 4/1.
Am a bit surprised to get in so fast since I was certainly not YP but I think the LOCI and a couple emails stressing deadlines helped.

Went to talk to admissions counselor on Friday. Sent a LOCI and responded to email from last week about how I will give my first born to go there, and will probably be meeting with faculty to talk about course offerings and subtly drop that I'm on the WL with a hope of a response along the lines of "Lets see what we can do about this whole wait list thing..."

For now I'm putting a deposit down at GMU

I only received a confirmation from my LOCI because of my response to the update email. I responded to the update saying I definitely wanted to remain on the waitlist, and then asked if they had received my LOCI the previous week. My contact person responded saying that they had received it, and she then detailed all my correspondence up until that point, so I guess they do make note of all our emails.

Also recieved email letter today w/ hint at acceptance. Not sure to which program. Assuming part-time. I applied part-time but said I would accept either program after being waitlisted as SPWL. Excited! Congratulations to the newly accepted and good luck to those on the waitlist!

I just removed myself from the SPWL, in case any crazy person tries to go through this thread and figure out percentages of SPWL people that get in (don't do this! it's crazy!). Anyway, best of luck to all of you.

does your status read as in review or application completed? Im still receiving waitlist emails but my status has never changed from application completed... just curious because all my other status checkers read as "In Review" when they are still under consideration. Thanks.

GULC's always say Application Complete X/XX date. The date changes and that's it.
