I just got of the phone with someone that I know that works at the Y and they said that the waiting list is long, of course not comparable to others schools but long for the Y, they did not tell me how many people are on there.

Sorry about the waitlists

. It said not to send a LOCI?
I mailed in my deposit this morning, so hopefully I'll see some of you this fall.

So I guess you're depositing at Wake?

Took a tour of the law school today. It has by far the least amount of student lounge space. Other law schools have nice areas for hanging out and mingling, but BYU's was pretty lame. The person who gave me the tour said that the dean is planning to remodel two undergrad classrooms into a new student lounge area. He also showed me how the dean has installed new tables and benches outside in the patio area. Those individual cubicles for each student are pretty sweet in my opinion. The building is definitely less fancy than other schools (Cardozo, Notre Dame) I've visited but it'll do.

Very cool, congrats on being done with this phase! Have they sent along anything since you committed?

No, they haven't sent anything. I sent in my letter last week and paid the deposit yesterday I think. Although I was doing research on HeinOnline today and on the top it said, "Your access is provided by the Howard W Hunter Law Library" so I must be in the system already

.

Very cool! It will be fun to see what rolls out over the next while! Also good to see what spots open for some of the waitlisters!
It's coming along! I'm definitely leaning heavily but a tad hesitant to cut my other options!
Did you make it to the ASD?

No, I didn't make it to the ASD

. I had to study and take an exam for school. I went by the other day for a tour though. I'm pretty happy with my choice, now I'm just thinking about how I'm going to survive the first year.

The 2010 employment statistics aren't as heartening as I'd hoped...

Nobody seems to be all the way back yet, but hopefully by the time we graduate things will be really good again. At least they are seeing things pick up again!
You any closer to your decision?

I am currently on the waitlist and anxious for news. Does anyone know if they are reviewing waitlist files at the moment or anytime soon? I know that April 15th was the deadline for admitted candidates to make deposits. It seems to me that they should have an idea of how many slots are currently open by now and should be actively engaged in the review process. However, my application status hasn't changed since receiving my waitlist email on March 30th.
If the waitlist thread from last year is any indication (which I seriously hope it's not) then the waitlist torment could run well into July and August. I'm trying to stay optimistic that it won't pan out that way.
I'm hoping that someone out there may have heard something about what is happening so that the rest of the waitlisters (probably not even a word) can gain some reprieve.

Does anyone on here know where we can see detailed employment information for this year like employers who came on campus to interview, 1L/2L summer employment stats and locations, salaries, etc.?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
