Re: UConn Applicants 2011
My status checker changed to "Decision" today.
I applied 11/10 and was UR 11/18 I believe.
I applied to both FT and PT but have decided I only want PT.
Anyone have info on how they do merit schollys?

I applied to both and was admitted to both.WB333 wrote:Also, did you guys apply for the full time or part time programs?
Pleasantly surprised to be admitted to either program. Makes my decision much harder.

Accepted!
Applied 11/12, UR since I think 11/18, then updated to 1/28 and admitted today.
3.43/164, out of state. For what it's worth, I just sent them my standard PS

Re: UConn Applicants 2011
FYI
I just emailed them with my standard request to be considered for merit scholarship and they sent a reply back right away.
"All admitted applicants are considered for scholarships. There is nothing further you would need to do; if you do receive a scholarship, it will be emailed as well. "
Looks like the wait's back on

Maybe they are doing this by alphabetical order today. I am towards the beginning of the alphabet which worries me. I really want to be accepted to PT. I applied to both divisions. My LSAT is below their 25th for PT. My GPA is way above the 75th though.

I'm in the middle of the alphabet, roughly. They may go by sent dates or something.

Does anyone know if scholarship info would have been included in the acceptance email, or if it will come separately?

Don't sweat it Jay, it probably doesn't mean anything. I think I have strong numbers for UConn and was IR 1/28 and didn't hear anything today either.jaydizzle wrote:Woods, Elle wrote:Same. I wouldn't stress about not hearing today. I went complete and UR the same days and have yet to hear anything. In-state and above both 75ths.jaydizzle wrote:Woods, Elle wrote:Same. Based on your profile and Vet status chances of you getting in were about 80%...
To the other poster: The app had checkboxes for you to pick PT, FT, or both.

Yup. I applied to both. My best shot is the evening division. I think they only did a small number of decisions today. I am hoping to hear very soon.

Yeah, you are right. But after the last few rejections I was beginning to think that's all I had left.jaydizzle wrote:Peekay80 wrote:Holy $@&^!!!!! I did not expect to see congratulations in my e-mail today. Wow. This was the curveball I had completely overlooked.

Re: UConn Applicants 2011
Wow just found out that UConn only offers merit aid for the first year. I had no idea! maybe because they are state-funded?
Even w/low in-state tuition for remaining years that makes it a tough sell vs other schools offering substantial renewables.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
