Given that I plan to live in or around Seattle permanently, I would choose UW over anything except HYS, where I have no chance at all anyway. (Didn't even apply to any of them.)whitman wrote:Anyone else considering choosing UW over a T14? Call me crazy but I just love that damn place.
I didn't get in to UVA, and I know Columbia is going to ding me, so the only remaining T14 where I applied and still have a shot is Northwestern. Northwestern is an awesome school but I think I'd still go to UW.

I'm hoping to apply to UW but I won't have my stuff together until January 9th/10th and I'm worried about their January 15th deadline since I don't think CAS will send the report by then

You could e-mail admissions and ask! They're very, very helpful and will do their best to give you information to assuage your concern if possible.gens1tb wrote:I'm hoping to apply to UW but I won't have my stuff together until January 9th/10th and I'm worried about their January 15th deadline since I don't think CAS will send the report by then

Gens, let me know what you find out. I should be finishing up my app and sending it today and all my information is in CAS, so I would assume that is considered a complete application but I see where your worry is coming from! Let me know what you hear!!

I got one update, but no movement since. I was initial IR in early December and now it is 12/13Madison425 wrote:Congrats to the folks admitted, and good luck to all those waiting such as myself. Quick question, for the "In Review" folks, are you seeing many status updates? I've been on just the intial date for a few weeks.
Thanks!

I didn't think there would be status updates...? Just once a decision's been made, your status actually disappears (or becomes blank, I guess).deja wrote:Mine has been stuck on In Review 12/1 since then.bdubs wrote:I got one update, but no movement since. Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
We receive the CAS from LSAC usually within a day. We have to update the statuses of each individual applicant, which is why it may seem as though we have not received your CAS report. We update statuses from “Awaiting CAS Report” to “Complete” in the order that we receive them. Thus, someone who has applied in December may have a status of “Awaiting CAS Report” (even though we have received it), while someone who applied in November will have a status of “Complete.” The date that you have LSAC send us your application is the date that we mark as having received it. So, in your case, if you send in your application today, it will not be late.
Hope that helps answer any reservations you may have had!
Above is what I got back from the people at Washington. Hope that helps for those of you applying in the next few days and worried about the whole CAS thing.

Hey thanks for doing that! I was out of town and wouldn't have been able to email them until tomorrow. That perfectly answers my question.lilcalisunshine wrote:We receive the CAS from LSAC usually within a day. Uh..
Does anyone remember if you can actually select/type-in-your name on the applicant signature line
I left the signature/date boxes blank, I thought I couldn't click on them but now I'm not sure and I am freaking the hell out.
EDIT: yep I missed dating the signature line because I didn't think I could select it... dear god

Are you stuck out of review because of that? If so, could you call or e-mail the folks at the office and explain the circumstances?gens1tb wrote:Uh..

I think(and hope) that UW has just been not serious about updating their status checkers.

Every time someone bumps this thread, my heart skips a beat because I think someone has received a decision.
If other people start getting in before I hear anything, I'm going to lose it.

A few decisions were received over the holidays. Once your status checker turns from In Review to [blank] supposedly they made a decision.Adjudicator wrote:Every time someone bumps this thread, my heart skips a beat because I think someone has received a decision.

Is it OK if my Under Review date is unchanged at 12/13?

My status just went 'in review' today!! How long will it take to hear from them? I have not been very impressed with UW's communication so far....
