dizzynoise has an interesting situation, though. I guess the leadership scholars endowment is offered outside the acceptance stuff. At least, that's what I gathered from some lazy googling.

for a supposed acceptance rate of only 16.1%, it seems rather strange that no one on here is getting rejected...

Re: Maryland 2011 Applicants
They only starting sending out in late Dec and seems like a few small batches of acceptances. They prob start rejecting people soon. A number of schools haven't sent out dings yet; some haven't sent out anything.2things2 wrote:for a supposed acceptance rate of only 16.1%, it seems rather strange that no one on here is getting rejected...

For those who just got accepted, when did you go into review according to the status checker? Been in review since 1/5 and still in review. Thanks.

Re: Maryland 2011 Applicants
I believe I was in review starting 1/14, then had a decision made and mailed on 2/4. i'm not by any means above the median in anything (3.3 162), so it all seems pretty random.blackmamba76 wrote:For those who just got accepted, when did you go into review according to the status checker? for those accepted and planning on attending, we should get a facebook group going for the class of 2014.

Re: Maryland 2011 Applicants
The amount of the scholly is dependent on the committee, which does interviews in March. You could get up to a full ride. I assume they decide how much they might give you before you interview and the interview is the final opportunity to get to know you. They're short and include a handful of people. Every person invited to interview is given the opp to get a scholly so we're not competing against each other.

I am really considering Maryland. I would like to find a roommate for the fall. I am very friendly and outgoing. I like to play hard and study hard. I would love a roommate who likes dogs as I will be getting one this summer. PLEASE message me if you are interested. FYI I have been looking at 39 LEX apartments-the two bedrooms are super nice!

I called and asked. She said an email would come out soon. It is odd that it's not posted on the website.

I sent an email to the Director of Admissions about merit aid. Trying to leverage some big scholarships at peer schools. If they don't bite I'm withdrawing b/c it would be insane to go to Maryland at sticker.

If things keep going the way they are it'll be a choice between MSU with 75% or Maryland at sticker...

Got acceptance letter on Monday, then yesterday received larger packet with a lot more information -- but nothing about scholarships whatsoever. Being as I'm from Philly PA, Temple is sounding quite good right about now...

I've been "under review" since 12/14 with absolutely no movement whatsoever. Why wait this long for an auto ding? I don't get it.

Re: Maryland 2011 Applicants
Sucks that we have to wait so long to find out what kind of money we will be getting. I had every intention of picking a school by then.
Tryna wait us out so you dont have to come up off the cash, huh Maryland?

Re: Maryland 2011 Applicants
Accepted last week and received my admit package and scholarship invitation today.
Does anybody know how much money I could possibly get from going to the interview and how much money are they giving people who were invited to attend?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
