AGH!

It's been a week since the Status Check has read "Decision Letter Sent" for many of us...

BTW- I was looking through last year's applicant cycle on LSN, and yes - it looks like they send decisions in batches. Sort by decision date - Almost all acceptances for the EA period before the end of December with very few - if any - waitlists (deferrals??), and no outright rejections, at least none that I saw.

SUSPENSE.

Ehh, I don't think they look too "batchy," at least not last year's decision for applications for EA. There are a few dates that are the same, but there are tons of single decisions on days in between.

My guess is that a lot of your mail carriers are jealous of you all and just took your acceptance packages...

It's stupid to say since there isn't much to go off of, but there was a 7 business day break between the last two decision batches, so I'm hoping the rest of us might get some news by next Tuesday. Stupid Thanksgiving

I called the admissions office today with a question about the online status checker. I asked if they could clarify the 11/24 "Decision Letter Sent" notification.

The woman I spoke with said they may not have been sent out exactly on the 24th because of the holiday. She advised to give a call back if I haven't received anything by Friday 12/3.

Okay good. I was beginning to think that the update on the 24th was a mistake! Thanks for calling. Not sure how much longer I can keep my fingers crossed, it's quite impractical :P

God I hate being defered. Its has a seudo waitlist feel to it. Even though it is not I just go back into committee in January.

The worse case scenerio in my mind is this

EA- Defer-Committe-Waitlist-descision.

This would be hell.

Same, I really need a pick-me-up from Santa Clara after the backhand from Texas.

So does anyone know what time of day the status checker is most likely to be updated? I would assume either some time 9am-5pm or 12am. Just wondering if anyone has a guess.

The couple people that got accepted during the first batch posted their "decision rendered" status around 4.00pm, so I suppose around then? Or maybe that's just when they got around to it.

Ok, cool. That probably means that they change the status for a batch of students by hand rather than with a timer.

I just looked at this thread but I thought I'd post my info on here: I was accepted via snail mail on 11/18 and received scholarship info via snail mail just after Thanksgiving. Good luck to everyone else :D

Okay. Well I have my roommates on mailbox and cell phone standby while I'm at work... checking my online status by the hour.

It shouldn't be stressing me out. I think it's just because I know it's coming sometime soon.

Did anyone who has been accept opt for a review by the Special Admissions committee? I checked for review due to minority and economic disadvantages and would be curious as to whether you think that had a significant impact on your app.

I'm jealous you guys are already in. I literally just went "in committee" within the last 30 minutes (yes I'm one of those obsessive checkers). How long did it take for those of you who have been accepted to go from in committee to decision sent?

I wasn't EA but did submit in mid-September. Went in review on November 15 (I think).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
