I have a 168, and I'm still under consideration for scholarship. So don't sweat it.HeavenWood wrote:Good lord, I hope not. I don't want to pay sticker.JCougar wrote:I wonder if they are going to shoot for a 168 median this year. Did anyone who has been accepted already have anything below a 168?
I also don't want to be rejected, but let's not think about that possibility right now.

With your GPA, I wouldn't worry about it.HeavenWood wrote:Good lord, I hope not. I don't want to pay sticker.JCougar wrote:I wonder if they are going to shoot for a 168 median this year. Did anyone who has been accepted already have anything below a 168?

Everyone in write the Why WUSTL essay? I'm kind of regretting not writing it, but it was my last app and I was feeling especially lazy.

I didn't, though I did tack on a paragraph to my PS that was specific to WUSTL.trudat15 wrote:Everyone in write the Why WUSTL essay? I'm kind of regretting not writing it, but it was my last app and I was feeling especially lazy.

Why WUSTL essay? You mean "The Admissions Committee often likes to know whether an applicant has a specific reason for his or her interest in Washington University School of Law. If you have any comments that would be helpful to the Admissions Committee, please include them below."? I wrote those 2 sentences but I hardly call that an essay...trudat15 wrote:Everyone in write the Why WUSTL essay? Also in via email today. Submitted 9/27, I believe. Last status was Under review 11/23, and it has not changed. My email also mentioned the Scholars in Law scholarship.

If my memory and last year's thread serve me correctly, it seems like the acceptances are coming out from WUSTL earlier than last year. But I could be wrong.

Any chance you could pull some strings and get them to review my app tomorrow? This waiting is killin me. I should probably get off TLS, but we both know that isn't gonna happen.romothesavior wrote:If my memory and last year's thread serve me correctly, it seems like the acceptances are coming out from WUSTL earlier than last year. Wow...all 168s so far. I hope they can move up the median this year. Illinois has caught up with us, and Cornell has moved ahead of us. Although Berkeley dropped into a tie with us.
They didn't give out as big of scholarships last year as they did in previous years to people above median. My hope was that they were saving up for a big push this year to move it up to 168. That would be truly awesome if they could accomplish this. We'd be solidly into T14 territory.

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
General question - Is WUSTL considered prestigous and/or well known where any of you are from?
I'm in Houston, and of the people I've told about WUSTL, maybe 1 in 10 has even heard of it, even though both the University and law school are ranked very high.

Can't speak to the law school, but the university as a whole is well regarded in the NY and Chicago areas.ihp12 wrote:General question - Is WUSTL considered prestigous and/or well known where any of you are from?

are schollies determined based solely on lsat/gpa or do other factors come into play?
