Now the waiting game...
Me too. If you even receive a JR1 apparently there is a lot HLS likes about you. Josh Rubenstein was extremely cordial and relaxed.
Good luck sergeantpzr and everyone else who received JR1s.

LSAT coming in Friday, so you can either chalk it up to extreme confidence or stupidity. (I say the latter.)
GPA is, frankly, low, but I have strong softs and mitigating factors, so I probably would have regretted not trying anyway.
I caved in today, too. I am waiting for my October retake, but I figured I would apply regardless. We'll see if it makes me competitive LSAT-wise, and if not, then it was nice knowing you $85!

Might as well, right?
Feel like GPA will be only below-average part of app if my LSAT comes in where I feel like I tested. Hopefully it won't doom me (although it probably will)

If last cycle is indicative, it is still plenty early enough to get a pre-thanksgiving JR1.
Anyone else finding it a huge buzz kill to have to wait so long after JR1 for a decision?? I mean I was pretty excited about getting the JR1.. now everything just feels so.. idk, uneventful. Almost makes me wish I couldve gotten a later JR1 followed by a one or two week wait until admit/deny.

I think the general trend has been within a week or so of going complete or under review for those who have received JR1s...
if you feel like going through the thread, a lot of people put their complete/UR date along with their JR1 invitation date (which was a Friday then a Thursday & a Thursday again)
and +1 for tkgarret's comment on the wait - the time for many people between the JR1 and hearing back will be over 2x the time between applying and the JR1

I went through LSN and the trend seemed to be that if you send in the application by about Nov 1stish you are still a candidate for the Thanksgiving JR2 group. The vast majority were September/October submissions, but there were a couple who applied Nov 1st or 2nd I believe.

We are numbers twins. I submitted over a month ago and have been under review since 10/5. Still no JR1 email.

Just got Under Review, after submitting on 10/20. Is the general consensus that the JR1 should come 2-3 days after the UR notification or else you're (I'm / we're) screwed?

Depends when you submit. It seems that JR1's come in batches, once a week. So far coming in on Friday, Thursday, Thursday. So if you submitted say just after the last JR1 batch, you likely have to wait roughly a week for the next JR1 batch.

Sorry, are you all ED or RD applicants? I applied RD a week ago and I'm wondering if I should be anxious about a call in the near future...

Harvard doesn't have an ED option.

Although, not recieving a JR1 has made me feel like someone with ED.

My mistake about ED! I didn't look at any school's ED options at all. My chances at Harvard are slim regardless :-/. Good luck to you all!

I went complete on like the sixth or the eighth, I'm done, at least until way later in the cycle when my chances are still next to none.

Encouraging news for those of us yet to receive JR1 invitations!!!!
The director of admissions visited my school today, and mentioned, as an aside, that due to her computer "crashing," she JUST began reviewing her pile of applications TODAY.
Here's hoping I'm in that pile!
Submitted 9/15
Under Review 10/6
Good luck everyone!

Lol, FML, I hope I'm in that pile as well. I hate you for bringing this up. I was slowly coming to terms with not getting a jr1 and then you throw this kink in to make my life miserable once more.

Interesting.. for some reason I assumed that JR was the only one who reviewed the apps for the JR1 stage and then they were sent to other ppl for review.. Makes sense that it isnt the case though.
