I'm deferred to regular decision. Seems like they sent out relatively few ED acceptances, lots of deferrals.

They only have 45 slots for ED, and I'm sure lots of applicants. so don't despair guys! There are lots more seats open in regular decision.

And from LSN I see that some people that were deferred under ED got scholarship $ when accepted RD

Ah, I would very much like some $s. Guess I gave up on that as an ED admit. Sigh.

Not necessarily, you have to take what they say with a grain of salt, but dean Z has said over and over that the fact that you were admitted ED is completely separate from the decision making process when they assign money.

How do you know there are only 45 slots for ED?

Dean Z says there are only 45 spots in her blog about summer starters I think.

Anyway, it's official: Early Decision - No Decision. Guess I'll send out that UVA contract today. Here's to hoping they don't ding me before they get it.

I know some people make it in RD after getting deferred, but does anyone know the timeline for this? My status checker is still at "Early Decision - No Decision."
