What an awesome idea for a thread.
I put all this info in my profile, though.

That was my initial reaction.sarlis wrote:Duke:

That reaction was followed shortly by remembering Duke's Douchey reputation and that I only wanted to go there for the rankings.
So: Shots for everyone fortunate enough to be spared the misery of attending.

Re: THE DING BAR
Illinois, dinged on the early decision day.
Suspect because it is in the middles of cornfields, they had to artificially create jobs because the Chicago Law firms had a hiring freeze (this was told to me by a representative of their law school at a law school fair in Valpo), also the whole "admitting senators' kids" scandal was a bit suspect. I hate their sports teams if that means anything. Overpriced in-state tuition. Cornfields.

Dear Berkeley,
I'm sure you laughed when you saw my 155, I'm sure you said, "We don't give a shit about the LSAT and all, but this is a little much." Well berkeley, I retook. So you can shove it. Just don't read this because I may transfer to you in a year.
kthanksbye

Dear American U,
Thank you for slapping me in the face and waking me up from the temporary insanity of considering $120k in debt for a sub-par education in a highly competitive and saturated market from a school offering no useful courses in my intended field.
In addition, thank you for preventing me from risking my life in the DC metro which has managed to rack up 20+ kills in the past twelve months. You have done me a real kindness, akin to not letting me into a car with a drunk driver.
Sincerely,
me

Having to listen to people talking about pahkin' theyah cahs for 4 years in Vermont was enough. I feel it would be even worse in Boston. And, I mean, I was even waitlisted at BU, which is the better Boston school.

Dear Duke,
I didn't want to sit in class with a bunch of Polo Ralph Lauren-wearing, lacrosse-playing, southern-drawled good ol' boys from the plantation anyways.
Okay, yes I did
Truly yours,

Amazing ...professorvoltron wrote:I know it is only a second tier law school but...here I go. Me personally I am an adrenaline junky. That is why I am disappointed over the fact that I got dinged at the University of Houston. I wanted to experience the life or death thrill of the commute to school not once, but twice a day. I also wouldn't have had to worry about staying in shape either, because everyday I would be busy sprinting to areas of cover to avoid being shot at. Finally there is the architecture. The campus is so "unique" it looks as if I drove my DeLorean 88MPH and and it took me to post WWII Stalingrad. U of H if you were free I'd still feel ripped off.

Michigan:
I would write you a nasty letter, but I really don't know much about you other than its really cold where you are and your basketball team has been terrible ever since the Fab Five. I didn't learn anything about you because there was pretty much zero chance I would have ever attended you, but you gave me a fee waiver and you were top 10 so I just filled in a couple of lines on my app, changed "Harvard" to "Michigan" on my PS and sent it off. Should have been enough for your TTT standards but I guess not.
See ya

Dear Romothesavior,

Chicago,
I like to drink and have a social life, and the thought of having to start a pocket protector collection was daunting anyway, so I'm happy I won't have to sit in my tiny apartment in -456576 degree weather alone for the next three years. (Since having friends is a direct violation of the ChiLaw agreement)

Duke 2/19 Ding.
Seeing as I am a cheap prostitute/stripper with a proclivity to attend lacrosse parties, this rejection is most likely a blessing. Thank you Admissions Staff. You've saved me from a future of speculation and humiliation.

Dinged at Penn. Honestly its for the best. I'm already Ivy League for undergrad, I can't drop down to Big Ten for law school, that would just be silly.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
