Any word on when non-massive scholarships are awarded? A decent package from UVA might seal the deal for me.

Mid-March is when all non-massive $$ will be doled out according to Cordel Faulk.

Per LSN, it looks like UVA is trying to bump their LSAT median to a 171. Hopefully, since I'm helping them do that, I get some decent cash. Outside of the snowball's chance Chicago lets me in, it looks like I'll be in Charlottesville in the fall.

Likewise except substitute Columbia for Chicago. I have strong ties to UVA and in-state tuition ($15,000 less), plus I want to practice in the D.C. area. I'm really hoping for some sort of scholarship to seal the deal for me. It's tough to turn down NYU though, and it would be even tougher to turn down Columbia if that were to happen.

So I shot an email to Dugas telling him that I am still very interested in UVA and asking if I should submit a formal LOCI. Hopefully it's not needed and the email was enough to let him know... There are at least a few people who did something like that and got accepted the next day... hopefully I am next!

I did the same thing last night, and since I already wrote a "Why UVA" he said my e-mail would be noted in my file, and I didn't need to do anything else. Crossing my fingers for SOME decision coming soon..

Mine updated from 11/2 to 1/4 earlier this month. I take mine as a hold (but I hope yours is better news).

Cheer up. Your wait has been shorter than most. This thread is overflowing with applicants with October and November "Pending Review/Decision" dates. With the exception of a small handful of people who were accepted this month, all RD applicants are still waiting for the first significant wave of RD acceptances.

vanwinkle and YCrevolution were absolutely right! I was accepted ED when I called Mr. Faulk today! I simply can't believe it. I'll be in Virginia this fall!
