It seems like they are making a push. Perhaps if we get in they will be #12 or #10 next year. I'm anxious to see which way those schools are spread when that three-way tie for #10 finally goes away.

My Cornell status checker said a decision has been made, and they have mailed it out. The site said it could take 10-14 days. Have these people heard of email!?

EDIT: I know they've heard of email because they emailed me about being EA and they emailed me that my application was complete. I need my rejections instantly in this fast food world.

From Cornell's website when explaining the various status checkers states. This is what it should say when you go to Decision

Decision

The Admissions Committee has reached decision on your application file and you will receive a written decision soon. Please be patient with the postal system. Please wait for 10 to 14 days to receive your written decision before contacting the Admissions Office.

I applied over three weeks ago and I have still not gone complete. Should I call or would that just annoy the admissions office?

I'm actually relieved I'm still EA Complete 11/13, b/c I think this will be the third and final batch of deferrals. The latest complete date for the last batch of deferrals was 11/05 or something, but we now have a confirmed EA Complete of 11/20 in this batch. So far I still think no news = good news, but I do think we'll start seeing some real decisions (acceptances) in the next batch.

Honestly? Socks are a great gift. I got a great pair last year (100% cashmere), and they are soooooooo comfortable.

Spend a couple of years working a job where you're constantly on your feet. You'll appreciate a good pair of socks.

I'm rapidly coming up on the one month mark, and I'm still at "applied" on those rare occasions when my status checker actually works. If I hadn't been keeping up with this thread, I would have called a while ago. Given what I've seen here, I think I'm just going to lay low for awhile and hope that the adcom comes back from Xmas break well rested and ready to tackle the mountain of applications.

Still EAC 11/20 and admittedly, am feeling a little relieved, judging by the posts. 25% LSAT and 3.99 GPA.

No, there are many of us. People who applied as early as 11/2 have not gone complete yet. If you weren't EA, don't sweat it.
