ok i'm starting to think I've been rejected for sure. Most people in today's batch seem to be counting on a rejection. And also I wouldn't be surprised if GULC is the biggest # whore in the T14, so my softs won't really help me here. aw.

You're in UVA, and you're getting an interview at Cornell - what are the odds you'd be a straight ding at GULC?sharthree wrote:Well I'm in at UVA already so...no use sobbing over it...but I like D.C.
Well, another URM in this batch.
Sharth, which prog (FT/PT) did you apply to?

Well I consider it good Sharth is in this batch - after UVA/Corn, and with his kickin softs/PS on top of URM, he's a legit candidate.

I don't think we are all rejected. Im guessing some of us are, but there is still hope.

There have been no rejections yet, as far as I know.
I think the 11/24 acceptances were auto-admits and maybe this next group is borderline people?

I agree. With a slight reiteration of my past post, this batch last year was a mix of acceptance, wailists and rejections.brose002 wrote:I don't think we are all rejected. Im guessing some of us are, but there is still hope.
Also, based on LSN last year I would bit a tad

The DR today seems to be the first big movement for ED applicants. While anything could be possible, I kinda find it hard to believe that they would mass ding a lot of ED people today on their first big wave of DR for these folks. The trend seems to be do your admits first at GULC.

True. But judging by LSN they've done a huuuuge amount of admits already.riburn3 wrote:The DR today seems to be the first big movement for ED applicants. I was part of the 11/30 decision batch... Is there as much pessimism around my batch as there is around the 12/01 batch?

It would be easier to tell if people would list their numbers.

applied ED PT: 168, 3.0x. Full-time work through all 4 years of undergrad, and decent softs. Non-URMJollyGreenGiant wrote:It would be easier to tell if people would list their numbers.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Really interesting how they lump splitters, URM, PT together. Well, I'm back to expecting a ding - they clearly went through their URM/Splitter/PT pool and likely some mix as Veritas says in there. Could be they chose their choice splitters/URM and are WLing us to see how we stack up down the road against the rest that apply, or that they weeded out the weaker splitters/URMs and are putting us out of misery.brose002 wrote:applied ED PT: 168, 3.0x. Edit: for check-in, I'm 168/3.3, tons of WE/softs.

Also the ED'ers are a weaker pool, as much as I love to believe in the admit-first trend. But Gtown said they look more benignly upon the ED'ers, so who knows?JollyGreenGiant wrote:True.
