Anybody know if there are multiple waitlist rounds? Or is it rolling like admissions?

wrote this above, but I was on reserve last year and there are 3. I was on the waitlist until August 20th or so

Sorry I meant like waves informing ppl that they are placed on reserve. Like if applied early but didn't get placed on it today will I get placed in March?

Lol I think that it won't help or hurt? I didn't last year and my friend did and he was released from the reserve at the second checkpoint, and I was kept on until August. Columbia is like a bad SO that loves leading people on haha

Has anyone w/ LSAT above median (172) been wait-listed or put on reserve? Cheer up! I was put on reserve several years ago. Didn't do LOCI. Anyways, my understanding is that the reserve group is HUGE.

By the way, since CLS and HLS have same median LSAT, you guys think CLS could be #2 or 3 soon?

If rankings were based on LSATs alone, then Berkeley would be a T20 under UCLA haha

Because they put a huge premium on high LSAT scores (fingers crossed they still do that *cries*) so probably take more splitters than other schools

Was just looking at the OP of this year and last year (btw great job to bri for your awesome op!) and it looks like tuition alone increased 3,000 since last year....... almost makes taking a few years working to save $ not worth it

A) What does this actually mean (It said "Hold" and it's definitely not reserve because it said I could be put on reserve)

Is Hold different than Waitlist for Columbia? I know some schools held is the same as waitlisted, some held is slightly better than waitlisted. Anyway just found out I am in the select group of applicants that are being HELD...better than rejected.

So I researched. Hold is not waitlist.

Hold is:

When an applicant is placed in the Hold category, the Admissions Committee has opted to postpone making a decision
on his or her candidacy at the time of initial review; in other words, the Admissions Committee has not yet made a
determination on the application, which will be reviewed again by the Committee later in the admissions season. Hold
category applicants can expect to receive a decision on their candidacy (Admit, Reserve, or Deny) by the end of April.

So uh... they still can't decide y'all.

Hold just means that you're still being actively considered but you won't find out until whenever they told you.

Still nothing over here...wondering if I'm just not getting their emails...
