Isn't it still considered early in the cycle? Don't they accept people until end of March?

Did my JS1 interview today and it was painless. PM for questions.

Nope, no need. Consensus is they have so much going on, there's no expectation for one. If you REALLY want to send one, send it to the main email.

Regulars, I'm going to type up an FAQ to put on the front of the thread. Hilde, you okay with posting one there? Any thoughts on what should be included?

I'm thinking (Much lifted from "what to expect when you're expecting" thread)
+ Thank you after JS1?
+ Will my status checker change?
+ Will I receive an email or phone call?
+ How long will it take to be complete?

Anything else?

Great idea. Perhaps also a, "what are common questions asked in the JS1?", to which the answer would be that it's pretty specifically tailored to your CV (based on my experience and what I've read on here).

For those that submitted late, like in January, any idea when JS1s would be expected?

Since we answered it earlier, I'd add, "Is a JS1 required to get a JS2?"

Noticed people have been asking for a C/O 2019 page. Had a very slow day at work, so I decided to put something together. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

P.S. Will start shitposting asap so I can add a banner.

Is there a consensus on those of us who went complete early Dec and haven't received JS1s or dings?

October 12 here. No news is frustrating (but not bad?) news.

complete 11/30 but a splitter.. i imagine they hold off on choosing which of the weaker applicants to move through? like a waitlist for potential waitlists, depending on spread of numbers they receive

It'd be helpful if you'd comment on your numbers

I tried searching the thread, but I couldn't find an answer. Also on my mobile because I'm on break at work.

Do you have to have at least a JS1 to be placed on the waitlist?

No. I was wait listed two years ago (on April 18) and never got a JS1.

So you *can* be admitted without interviewing. No longer necessary.

Hugs to all the dings.

Are we going to track rejection waves as we do JS1s and 2s? I'm down for tracking those if Hilde isn't up for it, I can just edit this post as they come in and hilde can link to this page.

I think you can get JS1s off the waitlist as well.

Again- lack of research capabilities due to being on my break at work, but does anyone know when the earliest waitlists go out?
