<3 UVAI'll just leave this here. Obviously some other schools may do some form of YP, but I just thought this was interesting.
Also, please don't quote. x)

WL
Above LSAT 75, in between 25 and 50 GPA. Guess it's time to write that Why UVA.

I have no idea what's wrong with the search feature for this thread, but "Why UVA" is coming back with no results. How important is it? I'm at the LSAT Median, >75% GPA. I didn't see a why UVA prompt, so I figured that was an indication that they weren't really all that interested in receiving a "Why X" unlike other schools that ask you on the app.

The search feature doesn't allow you to search for terms with <4 characters. Write a Why UVASeoulless wrote:I have no idea what's wrong with the search feature for this thread, but "Why UVA" is coming back with no results. How important is it? The best way that I've found to search uva stuff on this site is to Google the website name +uva. If you add why to that, you will find an interview with an UVA admissions officer (Trujillo) that addresses "why UVA." But yeah, write a good one.

WL today. stats in profile. Not super disappointed, I'll probably withdraw shortly, after I give UVA one last long look.

Had a dream last night I was in and woke up all happy. Took a few minutes to realize I didn't even apply to UVA...

What is the consensus on e-mailing in material? I didn't submit a why UVA. I just threw my application in a few days ago when I saw on MYLSN the favorable stats.

Dinged!
No Why UVA, very little expressed interest (didn't want to move to the south) stats in profile. Was expecting a ding from them all along!
Best of luck to everyone else in this cycle, waiting is so stressful!

You could just send it to the general admissions email. Are you waitlisted?Seoulless wrote:Guys - is it possible to e-mail admissions a Why UVA?

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Nah but submitted late - a few days ago. Didn't realize my stats put me in a decent running for getting some money. At LSAT Median, way above 75% GPA. According to myLSN, this should get me some cash. I'm not sure how being late in the game will affect me, though from everything I have read it's a different ballgame now than it was 5 years ago.Gooner91 wrote:You could just send it to the general admissions email. On a side note - I plan to visit the school. Do I need to check in at the beginning of the day? Class visits are first on the schedule.
What's this I'm seeing about people getting on site interviews at the admissions office?

Finally sent an email after 5 months of silence. The Dean immediately called and said my file had been miscoded and I was waitlisted weeks ago. At least I know now, and it was nice of her to call!
