Well, how do the reports showing 174 take into account transfer students? My guess is that they don't.

174 is for 1L's only. With transfer students, the number would certainly go up.TheThriller wrote:Well, how do the reports showing 174 take into account transfer students? My guess is that they don't.

Considering they had a net gain of 9 transfers last year, I doubt it'll make much of a difference.

Congrats!! I'm still waiting with a 167 and 3.7. I am committed to Emory with $$$ and once I sign a lease in Atlanta, I'll have to withdraw from Vanderbilt. What are your numbers/did you do anything to get in? I haven't visited or anything but I said I was still interested.TheThriller wrote:Thanks guys!! This is indeed a crazy cycle

Congratulations, Thriller!!! Did they call or email you?
I'm in almost the exact same situation! I really need to sign that lease in Atlanta, but I'm on so many WLs...lawschoolwoohoo wrote:Congrats!! I'm still waiting with a 167 and 3.7. I wish they would send a waitlist update. It's weird that we haven't heard anything.

Can anyone confirm this? Seems really early for them to fill the class -- last year went until the end of July. And there were many people in the class before that got in around August.

July 19th is the date by which all incoming students have to confirm enrollment by email. We will see some some WL activity after that date.pkep03216 wrote:Can anyone confirm this? I also heard that the class is full, but there will likely be movement!RetakeFrenzy wrote:July 19th is the date by which all incoming students have to confirm enrollment by email. Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
From what I can tell it's more of a steady jump, with people in the 168-169 range getting 75000 to 90000, and those around 166-167 getting 60,000-75,000. After that, I feel like the 6 figure scholarships tend to go to those with both LSATs 170+ and GPAs 3.8+. There's also some definite variation based on GPA. Not to mention Vandy claims to take into account both need and merit for scholarships, though I don't know how much effect need really has. This is all also different in offers off the WL, as it depends how much money they have to give at that point, and therefore a lot on the spot you get.keviiiiiiiiiiiin wrote:Is anyone able to tell what LSAT score provides the big jump in scholly money? I just got in off the WL last week as a reverse splitter, but I also took the June LSAT. I was given $15k a year and it would be hard to justify paying for Vandy because I already have a full-ride at a regional locked up. It looks like there's a huge jump in awards around 168-9.
