It reads like a form letter where they went "Your excellent record at <insert college here> - both in the classroom and out..."

Yes and No - mine reads: "Your excellent record at <insert college here>, your work experience with <company>, and your interest in <law topic>." I guess my record at my college outside of the classroom wasn't excellent.

HYS should all be a little quicker, problem is, you get into one of the three and at first you're like, ok, this is cool, lets see what shakes out. After about a month you actually start looking for reasons why you want to go that school as opposed to the other two seeing as how you probably arnt getting in.

True dat... I've convinced myself that YLS is the worst LS in the world, where I would receive an abysmal legal education too superfluous to comprehend and where I would free to death at the onset of winter.

That being said, most of what I have decided it true.

Yeah, everyone I talk to basically laughs in my face when I say, "HLS is great, but I'm still waiting on SLS and YLS, and for clerkships, those schools are more secure. I need to think about things." The answer is always, "Well, I know a certain someone who got into Harvard, and his name is BARACK OBAMA :smug:"

Yeah, HLS will get more big name people b/c it attracts the type of people who want to have big names. Also, cuz it has 3X the student body.

At this point, I'm so confounded by my options that I am reserving judgment until after ASWs. I remember the moment I fell in love with my UG while visiting and knew that I had to go there, and I'm hoping a magical moment like that occurs during one of the law school visits. (Also, you flatter me about SLS... )

DLS indeed. Not unexpected, but it stings. I really wanted this one. Harvard and Yale I couldn't care less about. Stanford, though, stanford was special. Just to confirm, no email means no hope of making it on the waitlist?
