Has anyone who was placed on the Priority Reserve list heard back yet? I was placed on the PR list on 2/16 and have heard nothing since...

I haven't gotten any sort of decision but I've been speaking with the admissions office lately. The sense I got was that their class is full as of now, but as deadlines approach, they will begin using the list. Basically the beginning of April is what I could get out of them.

I'm also going up to visit on Monday, so hopefully that will improve their view of me/speed up the process.

Full as in Duke has exhausted its acceptances...or full as in the number of deposits. I'm assuming the first?

They used the word full as in they won't be accepting anyone off of the PR list until they have an idea how many withdrawals there will be. So yes, acceptances I think if that's is what you're asking.

Edit- I have no idea how that applies to people are held or just haven't heard yet. There may be more of those accepted soon but I wasn't really asking about that.

I;m on the regular WL and I hope and pray that there are enough withdrawals. I am 100% Duke ...if they will take me

It's a big issue of money for me, which I'm assuming may be hard to come by off a waitlist. If I don't receive a good chunk, there's no chance I'll be at Duke, but if I get enough to compete with other schools I'd say Duke is my #1 non-Harvard choice.

Overall I'd say about 20% chance I would attend if accepted, but the ball is more in Duke's court than mine.

Ok, I think I may have misunderstood the JD-LLM dual degree program this whole time. Is it one summer semester (which is 17k), and then just 3x normal academic school years (50k/each) of tuition? Or is it 3x summer semesters and 3x academic school years?

Neither, actually, though your first impression is close. It's your 0L summer, 3 normal academic years plus you're required to do one of the summer institutes, which takes 6 weeks of your 1L summer. You still have the other half of your 1L summer and your entire 2L summer available for work.

Someone who is on the Priority Reserve got in contact with admissions last week. Admissions said that they were done with acceptances....so hopefully you made the cut

Just to clarify this, they said they were full at the time, not necessarily that they wouldn't have any more straight acceptances. Basically more people are going to be accepted in a variety of ways, they just need a few withdrawals first.
