I don't think anyone's been wl/rejected yet. On LSN there is only one person, but he was waitlisted 10 months ago so I imagine that was a mistake and was supposed to be for the 2010-2011 year.PrayingforHYS wrote:i was going more for this argument. if you're a "good/great" candidate, you're probably in by now, and if you're a slouch, you've probably already been WL/rejected. It's not a huge deal, and I'm not urging those who know they don't want WUSTL to withdraw...I just thought it was interesting that it crossed my mind

Wait what, no one this entire cycle has been rejected yet? That can't be right-what exactly are you referring to?tinlawman wrote:I don't think anyone's been wl/rejected yet. No not being sarcastic, sorry. Really? No one on here has said they were rejected? Maybe that's why they're taking so long. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, I'm just saying it's hard to believe.

Its true. Theyve only issued admits and have done so one at a time mostly and quickly (I applied mid february and got acceptance a week later), which I imagine doesn't bode well for all the group updates-but I hope I'm wrong!ArthurDigbySellers wrote:No not being sarcastic, sorry. I am guessing my 167/3.4 is going to earn me a WL. Dammit.

Ya, so far, it looks as if there haven't been any rejections. That what makes me think that I'm rejected/WL with my 170 and sub 3 GPA. They already accepted us splitters and the ones that are left are the ones getting dinged.ArthurDigbySellers wrote:No not being sarcastic, sorry. Really? No one on here has said they were rejected? Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
What are everyone's thoughts on whether it will be significantly harder for a 167 splitter to get in compared to last year when nearly everyone on LSN with a 167 was admitted?
It looks like they are really trying to push for that 168 median, but I also heard they did something very similar last year before admitting many of the 167 applicants.

Right now the median (assuming LSN is representative) is 169 (and closer 170 than 168 by a significant amount of scores) so there may be some wiggle room if 168 is the goal. However, thats just using people accepted and I tend to think that alot of the high LSATs might not take the deal. Also the GPA median is like 3.54 which seems low to me on first glance but I don't know the stats.
I wouldn't be too optimistic at 167 if you are a splitter as I think there are 167s who could raise the GPA median waiting as well, but I wish you the best.
NOTE This is ASSUMING 168 is a goal for them.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
