I haven't, so I'm hoping they haven't done it yet, and I get some soon.
I just spoke to Melanie Nutt, she was very sweet, but said that more Scholarship people paid the deposit than expected. She said the next scholarship deadline is June 1st and money might clear up then, but to not bet the farm on it.

Based on what she said there wont be a redistribution until more money frees up. She sounded sincere when she said that this year they had an unusual number of people pay the scholarship deposit. The next deadline is June 1st for scholarship recipients and June 15th for regular admitted students, so it seems that's the next window.

That's interesting since we had so many people on here withdraw. Odd.

My thoughts are that schools give out more money than they have knowing that a lot of students will withdraw.

I'm sure they use some type of model for their scholarship offers knowing some people will turn them down.

What if everyone who was given a scholly accepted like IUB then what, they would start asking people to defer?

Nope. They would just cover the lost cost from savings or something, and then not offer as much next year or raise tuition.

Well since there will be more scholly recipients that means a greater chance of losing your scholly so they can earn some of it back by the suckers that fall below 2/3.

We all moved to the 2014 thread. I think the wait is now for those on the waitlist. I think wake tried to get its decisions out extra fast so they could get those seat deposits in.

Does your status checker still say administrative review? If so, I would definitely give them a call and see if they can figure out what the deal is (maybe your application got lost? or they have the wrong e-mail address or something).

Anyone think the smith shaver email will go out today? They said prior to April 15 right? Isn't that the deadline for seat deposit for non scholly admittees. I'm thinking they want those people to have a chance of finding out if they got any money so they can make an informed decision right?
