Man, I submitted my NeedAccess and FAFSA on Feb. 1st (deadline for another school) and still haven't heard anything about financial aid, merit or need. Sorry, UCLA, but I'm probably going to withdraw this weekend.

I can't imagine any amount of money would draw you away from Harvard

To the people who gave received need based awards, are you coming straight from undergrad or have you been working? I wonder if I am just not getting anything.

Shoot the Dean an email. That's what I did.

Yes and no...I dislike Harvard's size and I really hate the cold and New England (I went to school in MA for UG and was not a fan). I have a lot of ties to Southern California and the Southwest (will for sure end up in the west/southwest after graduation), and I am extremely debt averse. For all those reasons, I would definitely consider something close to a full ride at many of the lower-ranked schools I applied to, including UCLA. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll get that kind of offer from them. Hoping my withdrawal helps someone else out!

Anyone else still waiting for a decision from UCLA? I've been UR since early Nov., and have been accepted at Chicago, Berkeley, Northwestern, Duke, Georgetown, etc. Sorry if waiting has been addressed in earlier posts.

Yep, still waiting. Applied 11/25 and complete 11/30. UCLA is the only school I haven't heard back from yet.

I also applied mid-November and haven't heard anything. UCLA is probably my top choice so I sent in an LOCI a couple weeks ago.
