i think i remember from ASD that they have a hard curve at 3.0, so top 2/3 is probably slightly below that?

Actually, Wake grades on a 100-point scale, and the curve is set at 85. I think 2/3 will be about 82 from what I can see.

It's going to suck to be one of the few at Wake paying full sticker. On the bright side, I'll guiltlessly recycle any requests for donations to the school in the years to come. I'll have already given more than enough $.

So does the general trend seem to be that Wake is upping current scholarship offers opposed to offering entirely new scholarships to marginal candidates? I was one of the lucky recipients of the faux 30k/year scholarship and still have a very bitter view of Wake...

Yeah, I'll be turning down money at UConn and a few other places, but it's worth it. Wake is a great school. I'll be getting a great education, and, judging from this thread, I'll probably have some very cool classmates. I anticipate a great experience at Wake. Having said that, I won't ever donate to the school. Knowing that one more LSAT point might have saved me 20K per year will probably be annoying in the long term.

The renewal requirements are awesome, too - upper two-thirds, and even if you drop below that you retain 50% of your scholarship.

Wow, I was all set to leave tomorrow for Iowa to look at apartments and put my deposit down. Now, I don't see any way I could commit to Iowa at sticker over Wake Forest with this kind of scholarship.
