I'm going to ASW and coming from NY too! As a CA expat haha I definitely recommend that everyone stay for the weekend and enjoy the area
EDIT: I'll be there for Friday (flying out Thursday after work) through Saturday morning and after that I'll be hanging out with a friend who is a grad student there.

I'm going! Flying from MN. I plan to arrive early Thursday morning and stay until late Sunday night (taking a redeye home). I've never been to CA so I wanted time to explore!
I'm doing the same thing! But coming from TX

Coming from AZ, I'll be there Thursday-Sat afternoon! Sounds like w/ 5 posters there's already 2 NY, 1 TX, 1 MN, 1 AZ... Def worth it to meet everyone!

They really put on a show for ASW. 2 full days, then a brunch on Saturday. Now there's a BBQ after that, and then another brunch on Sunday?

I know... It seems like everyone is planning their trips to ASW and I'm just trying to wrap my head around the fact that there is apparently not another FR. I'm still really curious how the February decision pile process differs from the earlier one. I think it has to be different and every app isn't just auto accept/reject. Even though there isn't FR, maybe they have a committee or are reading them all and then looking at the group collectively? Otherwise, there have only been a few acceptances and they could have put many of us out of misery earlier. Does Berkeley have a normal time window of when they call or send rejections?

Anyone think the Milo protest and Trump tweet about Berkeley affected how the peer survey turned out for boalt this year?

I think it's a more fundamental correction based on (relatively) mediocre inputs and mediocre outputs. But time will tell.
